In tonight’s America’s Got Talent episode, Yukuta flew all the way from Japan to audition for the judges. His personal favorite was Simon. He loves him almost as much as he loves skin care. The judges were confused by that line until they saw his act. He flipped upside down and had a giant Simon face coming from behind him. He went as far as to put Simon’s glasses on his made up version using his feet. It made people laugh. It made Mel press her reject button because ultimately it was nonsense. It was not talent. Mel was also thinking about that with the next act as well.

Cameron Logsdon was a public speaking teacher. He revealed tonight that he had been a teen parent. His son was in college now and so that meant now was the time to pursue his dream. He stumped Mel for a bit. Only she came around on his act. He was a stand-up comedian. He had people laughing with his naughtiness. He even won over Howie. Howie was the toughest on comedians. Cameron still didn’t face any issues from him and he earned his spot in the next round. He was a lot luckier than Carolina Mike.

Carolina Mike was a singer. He had people cringing from his act. Most of the judges ended up pressing the rejection button. Mel was the last hold out and she let him finish his act. He didn’t make it through but he left at least the audience entertained. Viola Panik was up next. She offered up her own version of burlesque. It involved stripping down and a man suddenly appearing with two muppets on his shoulder. It was the weirdest thing that Sofia has ever seen. And she added that she enjoyed it quite a lot.

There was another couple that followed the burlesque act. They were from Italy. They were opera singers and comics with their own costumes. It was just the right sort of weird for Sofia who gave them their third yes. They were moving on because they added entertainment value. There was plenty of room for bad acts as well as good ones. This rule didn’t apply to one woman who just happened to eat raw chicken. Like she was asking for death. They couldn’t assist her with that. They pressed the reject button before they realized everything she was eating was made of cake.

Next up was Butter and Grit. The two were best friends. They were in a band. They performed an original song tonight that hit it off with the audience. Mel loved it too. Howie said it was true Americana. Simon sounded like he was insulting them when he said it was a restaurant commercial music. He then cleaned it up by saying that it would make him interested in going to that restaurant. The duo was fine with that critique because it would be a dream for them to be in a Cracker Barrel commercial and they still made it into the next round.

They were followed by Ukrainian named Veronika. She was an aerialist who dreamed of one day being on the Olympics. She was up in that air without harness or any safety mechanism and she did her act above the audience itself. Simon wished her good luck even before she started her act. He’s seen people fall in spite of everything. Its why the judges themselves moved their seats. It was done in case she fell. Not that she did fall. Veronika stayed in the air and she threw in a floor routine. Sofia loved the performance so much that she rewarded it with a Golden Buzzer.

Veronika was heading to the next round after such a stellar performance. The aerialist was simply stunned to be advancing and yet the other judges fully supported Sofia’s decision. Simon had called it Olympics worthy. Hopefully, she’ll get a call after tonight. Veronika was soon followed by Elsie. Elsie was a mama. She was also a singer. Her husband literally told her that he’d watch these kids as long as she goes to AGT. He wanted her to pursue her dream and doing something for herself and so she performed an original song tonight.

The original song wasn’t it for the judges. Some were confused if it was original or if they had heard it before. The thing is she has an amazing voice and it couldn’t be heard with that particular song. The one thing the judges agreed on was that she has lots of potential. She looked like Beyonce and has a beautiful voice. They gave her enough yesses to make it to the next round, but she has to pay attention to the critique. Simon felt she was overproduced. She needs to strip it down and let her voice do its work.

Next up was Joel. He was from Northern Ireland. His accent with Sofia’s accent meant they couldn’t really understand each other. They ended up learning who the other really was once the act began. Joel was a magician. He took Howie’s phone and smashed it up. His act tended to drag a little long for Simon’s tastes. Which doesn’t mean it wasn’t good. It was exceptionally well done and it had people believing in magic again. He destroyed a little of everything from everybody before he safely returned it. And it convinced Simon in the end to give him a yes.

Joel was moving onto the next round. He was later followed by another comedian who had the crowd in stitches and received four yesses for his trouble. Lachlan Patterson was moving onto the next round thanks to the chuckles. Jesse Joe and the 96ers then in turn followed Lachlan. They were a band. They came up with an original song for tonight. They sounded good although Simon had an issue with lead vocals. He felt it wasn’t up to par as the rest of the band. Howie and the others disagreed with him. The audience also enjoyed the band. They essentially forced Simon to let the band through.

They literally chanted “Let Them Through”. Simon couldn’t be the bad guy all the time so he did. Alexander Sidar was up next and he upped the energy considerable for everyone. He flipped his way into America’s hearts tonight with his act. It was less dance and more free movement. It impressed everyone. Alexander was followed by Elektrodads. There were a group of friends that have known each other for twenty years. They have ten kids amongst them. It was their kids who convinced them to try out this season.

They all worked in real estate. They were fine with giving up the dancing dream until they got to AGT and saw they weren’t ready to walk away just yet. They didn’t show anything new. Still, they brought positivity and energy to their routine. It wasn’t enough for Howie. It was for the other judges. They were advancing to the next round after tonight. Now, the final act of the night went to Ashford Sanders. He was a singer. He’s always loved it and much like the Elektrodads – he had pushed it aside for a while.

Ashford didn’t come with an original song. He instead made a Billie Eillish’s song sound like it was one of his own. He has such a beautiful voice. It was giving everything. Mel especially loved the Luthor Vandross vibes. She loved his performance. She gave him a standing ovation. The audience did the same and Ashford didn’t have to worry about anything else because he received four yesses tonight. He was advancing onto the next round.

THE END!
