Tonight on NBC America’s Got Talent begins with an all-new Tuesday, July 21, 2026, episode and we have your America’s Got Talent recap below! On tonight’s AGT season 21 episode 7 “Auditions 7″, as per the NBC synopsis,
“It’s the final night of auditions, and the judges must determine who will be moving on; a Howie lookalike takes the stage.”

In tonight’s America’s Got Talent, the Auditions continued on tonight’s all new episode. Howie was the slowest to the stage because he was hoping someone would ask for a photo with him, but he was vindicated when the first act came out in Howie’s cosplay. The other judges all pressed their reject buttons. Howie and the audience demanded that he come back to at least audition. The audition bombed. It actually became a running gag because that comedian kept coming back dressed up and he would indeed later show up as a cat from the musical “Cats” on his next trip to the stage.
Like dude, you’re not funny. He should go away and stay gone away until he betters his comedy routine. Next up was The Sound. They were a family of two sons with a dad. They formed a band. It was a Country band and they performed “Take Me Home, Country Roads” with some assistance from the crowd. They were great. They were authentic. They even impressed Simon and Mel. Mel was their first yes. Then the other judges gave yesses as well and now The Sound was heading advancing to the next round after a stellar performance.
They were followed by the weircat that was mentioned earlier. It was a complete waste of time. It was literally the last day of Auditions and that slot could’ve gone to someone else. Someone far better than whatever crap this was. Mel was quick to press her reject button. Sofia followed. The last time it had been Mel who hit her button for her and Sofia no longer needed to be convinced. She had gotten two doses of this guy. She was done. The same goes for the audience who literally got up to boo him.
Everyone was just that turned off. The next act had been a group of cops including a sheriff deputy. They were called Los Servidos. The audience thought they were a choir. One that perform together in LA and they hoped to change the mindset of their community towards their profession. It turned out to be a mariachi band. They performed “Walking On Sunshine” in Spanish. Half the audience didn’t know what song they were playing and they still all vibed with this performance. It was great. It even impressed the judges who all gave yesses. Congratulations Los Servidos!
The next act had a few fearing that comedian returned to the stage. The guy was wearing glasses and construction gear. He admitted he was a carpenter. Luckily, two different guys as everyone could tell by the act itself. He kept building and his skateboarding friends kept risking their lives boarding across it. They kept upping the ante. They invigorated the crowd with the unexpected nature of it. They ended up winning the yesses to advance, but quick question. How are they going to transform that into a Las Vegas show?
There were some performances during the commercial break that resulted into rejections. The dance team seemed fun. It’s just that their choreography wasn’t impressive enough. Next up was Sarah Hardwig. She was born blind. She was diagnosed at five months old and music became her outlet. She was living in Nashville. Two guesses on which genre she performed in. She was a Country musician of course. They loved her song, performance, and message. She brought a unique kind of energy to the stage.
Only she had been holding back. Mel could sense it. People at home who were far more removed from the audience could probably sense it as well. They still saw her potential and rewarded her for it by giving her yesses. She has time to work on building her confidence now. She was a great singer. She was just holding back out of nerves and she could work on that. She was followed by Aidan Corcoan. He was nineteen with a baby face and he was nervous too. He had people tell him to wait a year before he auditioned. And he ignored them because he wanted to bring his own magic to the stage.
Magicians always bring a new certain kind of energy to the stage. They either have people saying it dragging or they leave everyone so impressed that wanted to know if magic was real. Aidan was the latter. He must be able to read minds. How else did he knew what that woman in the audience was thinking when she gave her best friend’s birthday. He pulled off a money trick. A mind reading trick. He had Simon smiling. It’s always great to see everyone unified in their admiration and Aidan won that with his audition. He was also now advancing after his yesses.
The Howie impersonator, the weircat, and now the devil. Yup, the guy come back dressed as the devil. He already bombed twice and now he was back for a third time. Mel didn’t have time for him. She checked out. Sofia at least listened to him long enough to smile and give a slight applause. He was much better as the devil than he was at the weircat or as Howie. His rebranding as he put it – had finally won over the crowd. He got enough yesses to advance. The one holdout had been Simon who happily pressed his reject button.
Next up was Maria. She was eighteen years old and she was Bavaria, Germany. She was a contortionist. She could bend up her bind in such a way that it didn’t appear she had bones. Like we the people were going to need to see the x-rays to see if she actually had bones. The moment she entered the little box by contorting herself – everyone realized that they watching could never pulled that off. It was a skillset. It should be at the Olympics as an event. She naturally got the yesses she needed to advance. The crowd was worried about what her second performance look like.
Pink Beard was up next. He actually wrote the song “Scars to Your Beautiful”. It showed great talent and he seemed to have tossed it aside with his performance tonight. The cowboy hat alone should’ve been enough on which direction he was going into. He mixed Country with Folk and it gave a vibe of grassroots. Simon loved all three versions of what they played onstage. They had to them give yesses. They earned it and now they got to spend it in the next round.
They went down memory lane towards the end of the show. They were putting things together for the Live shows and so the judges kept looking at old videos of everyone who auditioned this season. Simon wanted to work with some of them. He was against some of them. Those that were dressed in costumes were close to getting cut just because of the guy they dealt with all season. Only there was hope for some. The judges had to decide who was making it to the live shows tonight and its not like they agreed on everything.
There’s bound to be a surprise in the next show.
