First off, Anita Dupree (Karla Mosley) will start her cancer treatments, and her chemotherapy will begin.
It’s a scary step in the right direction, so Anita will muster up all the courage she can to fight this breast cancer with all she’s got.
There’s sure to be some emotional moments, as the Dupree matriarch embarks on this new chapter, but the biggest question on every fan’s mind is: will Anita beat this illness?
Meanwhile, the genetic marker test results will be in for Nicole and Dani, so will either lady receive a positive?
If this happens, their children will be the next ones to head into the lab, so a lot is riding on Nicole and Dani’s results.
On the one hand, as Katherine “Kat” Richardson (Colby Natasha Nixon) has been adamant about ignoring this ‘cancer’ situation and not getting tested, all arrows are pointing toward Nicole testing positive.
There’s also a chance that both sisters get positive results, so BTG viewers will have to tune in to find out where this storyline is headed.
Speaking of, Beyond the Gates spoilers for January 9 imply that Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon) will have bad news for Vernon.
Will he learn about his mom’s positive test results and gently try and tell his granddad?
Then again, this “bad news” could be about Tyrell Richardson (Jaden Lucas Miller) and his refusal to participate in this year’s cotillion.
The big event is a huge tradition for the Duprees, so Vernon would be quite disappointed to learn that Tyrell isn’t a fan of the cotillion; especially since Samantha Richardson (Najah Jackson) is playing such a major role in the gala this year.
Lastly, Andre Richardson (Sean Freeman) and Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges) will bond as they each show growing concern for their wives, Dani and Naomi Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit).
