In tonight’s Big Brother episode, last week was wild! It ended with a Double Eviction that saw both Barrett and Yash go home. They showed some behind the scenes maneuvering tonight. Barrett going home was clear from the start. He had too many enemies and too few friends.
He really shouldn’t have listened to people about taking a drastic step when he was the only one that was going to end up dealing with the consequences. It was also silly to believe Yash about his lie. He should’ve stuck to his original plan by nominating two of the icons and one of the others. It would give them enough face to feel like two of them could survive. And it wouldn’t have created such enmity in the house.
It was too late for a do-over. He got evicted. If he comes back as an icon himself later on, he should learn where the others went right and where they went wrong. The same goes for Yash. Yash could’ve won HOH weeks ago if he hadn’t thrown the competition. His problems all started when he made a deal with the icons
. He tried to get around that deal and it backfired. Drew became HOH that week. He even nominated Yash before Yash took himself off the block. Yash then went after HOH. He won. He nominated Drew back. He just couldn’t nominate the remaining icons.
His problems really did start because of that one bribe. It held him back and exposed him. Yash ended up going up on the block once Melody nominated the icons and Devens saved himself with Veto. She needed a renom. It was never going to be Drew. She doesn’t trust Drew. She knew Drew was a lying weasel.
Yet, she still stood by him. She nominated Yash because Yash had once nominated her himself. The bribe had stopped tied his hands with that one too. Melody felt betrayed so she got her revenge.
Melody nominated Yash. Yash’s chances of staying or going came down to Drew. The same Drew that wanted him out of the house since the beginning. Drew had to take his shot.
He got out Yash. He was happy. Melody was having regrets because it suddenly dawned on her that she should’ve nominated Taylor. Taylor tried to get herself nominated. She tried to tell Melody that Drew couldn’t be trusted. Yash also tried to tell Melody that Taylor would stay because she’s a safer choice than Dee. And he had a point because Drew said he had no problem with voting out Dee.
Dee blew up his game in a big way a few weeks back. Still, Melody chose to believe that Drew would oust an icon. She knew he was lying in her face again and so what happened next was on her. Melody tried to lie to herself by saying either going home would be best for her game, but that was a lie. Melody’s best move would’ve been the follow through. She knew it too and that’s why she cried afterwards. Yash was nominated and he got voted out thanks to Drew. Taylor knew in that moment that the icons just got handed another win.
Taylor said that out loud because she never cared about protecting anyone’s feelings. She cried when Yash left. Taylor knew she’d be the next target. She wasn’t wrong. The house was later visited by Big Brother 27’s Vinny. Vinny told them that they could take a risk of cursing the house in exchange for ten grand. One person took him up on that offer. Devens. Devens said he has kids at home and his wife has had to be a single mother all summer long. They’d need that extra ten grand. Devens was the one who enacted the Egyptian curse.
The houseguests were transported to Ancient Egypt. They had to play a game called “Reverse the Curse”. It was a miniatures puzzle stacking. It looks easy going in until they started doing it. It took a full four hours before Devens finally won. Which was so unfair. Devens jinxed the house in the first place. It should’ve automatically disqualified him from playing much less winning HOH. It doesn’t matter anymore because Devens won and he got to nominate two people. He didn’t wish to nominate Dee. He was aiming at Taylor and Drew.
Drew didn’t want to leave that to chance. He’d rather they’d nominate Melody because if he won Veto – he planned on using it on Melody. There was truly no one voicing that Taylor not touch the block. Not even Taylor was advocating for herself while Drew was. And that left Devens wondering who’d would he actually take to Final 3.
