In tonight’s Boston Blue episode, Henry Reagan was visiting town. He finally came up to see Boston again. He was last in town on the Boston Strangler case. Henry said cops from all over came to help the city deal with the culprit and that Henry made some friends thanks to the case.
He wanted to visit them now that he was back. Danny agreed to drive him around. Danny loved hearing his grandfather’s war stories.
He just didn’t count on work intervening. There was a shooting at the Silvers’s church. Reverend Edwin Peters was shot. He was Mae’s father. The kids’ grandfather. He was also a pillar of the community.
The shooting happened on the community outreach day. It’s a way for the community to help each other. It served as a means of helping people get off the street and in more ways than one. They also reached out to people fresh out of prison. Or those who want to leave the life.
There was media there as well. It was a great day and then someone ruined by firing at people. They shot Pastor Curry in the arm. They shot Reverend Peters in the chest. The Reverend survived thanks to Lena providing first aide care at the scene.
The shooting scared her. Lena was the most frightened. The other two were less worried. Sarah received a written complaint against Sean and Jonah.
She needed to stay at work to handle it. Jonah also wasn’t worried because he said his grandpa was jacked. Though he didn’t like the complaint against them.
They arrested a guy after hearing from their radio that a perp took off. The rookies made the arrest and they didn’t sit well with the cops that were pursuing the guy for blocks. They said it should’ve been their arrest.
The older cop also didn’t follow the chain of command. He was supposed to report directly to his captain and he went straight to the Superintendent. Sarah received the complaint. She also put the guy to task for not respecting her seat of office. So, there was a lot of disrespect going around.
Sarah still did her job. She wrote up a Rip for Jonah and Sean. Sean was fine with it. Jonah felt she was holding it over him that she has power in her job. Jonah hasn’t heard the other complaints because no one else was brave enough to write a complaint they feared would get tossed.
Apparently, the guys are hotheads. The were others that have been complaining behind the scenes as well. Jonah had an attitude problem. His sister is a boss. His other sister was a detective. His mom was District Attorney. He may have felt he could relax some. He wasn’t by the book as he should be.
There was one other thing they were thinking about. The arrest from earlier was recorded. It said #hotcop. Now there was two of them that made the arrest so which one was the hot cop. Sean was so embarrassed that he was hoping it wasn’t him. Jonah couldn’t wait to brag if it was him.
Henry stopped by their station. The whole station was voting on which one was the hot cop. Henry asked for a part of the action. Henry has been really helpful since he’s been in town. He helped Lena and Danny with their case too. They determined that the shooting was intentional.
Someone sat in a widow facing the church to shoot their target. It was either the Reverend or the Pastor. Pastor Curry signed himself out of the hospital and tried to make a run for it. They soon learned that Curry wasn’t his real name. His name Larry Johnson. He had a long rap sheet.
He was also wanted man. The state of New Hampshire have a few questions for him. The gun that shot at him belonged to Franklin Beaumont. Beaumont was released after twenty years. He robbed stores and banks. Henry pointed out he would need getaway driver.
If a driver wasn’t available or left him out to dry, he’d want revenge too. He just served twenty years. His girlfriend also got together with his friend. They had a child and the mother died in childbirth. Pastor Curry’s daughter was Cynthia.
Curry raised her on his own. Only he wasn’t in fact her father. Beaumont was the father. His girl tried to tell him to leave the life and he wouldn’t so she found who would for her child. Beaumont was hunting down Curry so much that he took what he thought was the man’s daughter hostage.
Curry showed up with Lena and Danny. No was thankfully harmed thanks in large part to Reverend Peters. He said that Cynthia looked just like Beaumont. Then the Reverend punch him so that he wouldn’t kill anyone.
Sean won the hot cop competition. Still, Jonah walked away with a date because of it. Henry was just glad to meet the Silvers. The Silvers have adopted two of his own and he will always be happy that they were being take care of.
After the Reverend was shot, Mae’s sister came to check on him. She said their father’s papers weren’t in order so she looked through them with Mae.
Mae then found her mother’s death certificate. Her mom didn’t die in a car accident. She committed suicide where she knew her eldest daughter would find her. Mae was left heartbroken when she heard the truth. It also served to remind her that she hasn’t told her own children everything about her father.
THE END!
