Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that at least four recasts will debut in 2026, so multiple characters are about to get brand-new faces. Let’s talk about what we know so far and when these recasts will first show up in Salem.
Paula Cwikly and Jeanne Marie Ford, who currently serve as Days’ co-head writers, discussed some of the upcoming recasts in a recent interview with TV Insider.
Here’s what the duo had to say about the casting shakeups.
“New Rachel starts airing in March, and we’ll see Conner Floyd‘s [ex-Chance Chancellor, The Young and the Restless] Chad in April.
There is also a new actress taking over the role of Ari [Hernandez, from current portrayer Marissa Reyes] in April — stay tuned.”
There’s no word yet on who’ll be replacing Alice Halsey in the part of Rachel Black, but we’ll be sure to pass along updates as more news comes in.
As for Connor Floyd’s upcoming debut, fans may have mixed emotions.
It’ll be tough to see Billy Flynn (who now plays Cane Ashby on Y&R) take his final bow as Chad, but it’ll be fun to see Floyd’s new spin on the role.
Although there’s been no official announcement yet about who’ll be playing the Ari recast, all signs point to Sydney Malakeh.
Malakeh follows several Days cast members on Instagram and was spotted at the cast holiday party, so there’s a good chance she’s taking over the role of Ari.
The Javi Hernandez (Al Calderon) recast situation wasn’t mentioned in the co-head writer interview, but this feels like a good time to remind Days viewers that it’s happening.
Like Malakeh, Jacob Martinez also follows multiple DOOL actors on his Instagram account and was seen in Christmas party pics.
Al Calderon should be seen in episodes through May, but it looks like Martinez will debut as a Javi recast sometime after that.
Of course, there could be other recasts in the works depending on what storylines the writers intend to tell and what characters are needed on canvas.
