Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) is ready to be a dad and get to know his new daughter now that he has paternity confirmation.
Kelsey Kiriakis indeed belongs to Alex according to the DNA test results, so his life just changed forever.
Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins) agreed to stick around Salem with Kelsey so that Alex could do some father-daughter bonding.
Days spoilers say Alex now has a chance to be actively involved in Kelsey’s life and help raise her alongside Joy.
Of course, Joy must be hoping this co-parenting situation could turn into a love story.
It’s obvious that Joy still has feelings for Alex, but there are complications involved here since he’s married to Stephanie Kiriakis (Abigail Klein).
However, Stephanie is already worried she may not be able to play stepmother to Kelsey and handle all the changes in Alex’s world.
Since Stephanie is still dealing with PTSD, she’s an emotional wreck – and that may not change anytime soon.
As for Kelsey, it’s pretty much a rite of passage for soap babies to get kidnapped at some point on Days.
Kelsey’s first abduction might be just around the corner, so let’s consider how that news would affect Joy and Alex.
If Kelsey gets snatched, it could open the door to Alex and Joy bonding in a whole new way.
That said, Joy might also see the downside of having a Kiriakis baby daddy if Kelsey gets kidnapped for ransom because of her last name.
Someone might want a chunk of the famous Kiriakis fortune after hearing about Kelsey’s paternity.
It might be interesting if Days writers tied that into the storyline involving Titan’s financial struggles.
Alex might actually scramble to come up with enough cash to meet the kidnapper’s demands since the Kiriakis clan’s having money troubles.
That said, Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) dipped into illegal funds recently, so Alex could always do the same.
Regardless, you can bet Alex will do whatever it takes to save Kelsey if she lands in danger.
We also wouldn’t put it past Joy to fake Kelsey’s kidnapping just to pull Alex closer.
DOOL fans know Joy has a mischievous side, so we could imagine her arranging a fake abduction and making Alex believe the scary ordeal was real.
Still, it could still have the desired effect and strengthen Joy’s connection with Alex – at least as long as she kept her shady actions under wraps!
