Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Conner Floyd recently made his long-awaited first appearance as a Chad DiMera recast.
It didn’t take long for Chad to visit the DiMera mansion, where he put EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) through a grilling session about the mysterious pod news.
Chad demanded answers about the pod dweller and ultimately pushed EJ to admit it was Abigail DiMera (last played by Marci Miller).
EJ was appalled over Chad thinking he’d keep something that huge from his brother since that would affect Chad’s life so profoundly.
Even so, Chad was suspicious since EJ had feelings for Abigail once upon a time.
It left Chad considering the possibility that EJ was bringing Abigail back just to have her all to himself!
Of course, Chad also mentioned the fact that Abigail’s body wasn’t in her grave.
It seemed like Days writers’ way of reminding DOOL fans that Abigail’s remains are missing, so the door’s wide open for her eventual comeback.
At this point, EJ is still keeping secrets about Lexie Carver’s (Nikki Crawford) own resurrection, but he shut down Chad’s suspicions about Abigail for now.
EJ also made it clear that whatever feelings he had toward Abigail are long gone.
All EJ feels now is sadness for Chad and his kids since they’re left with this Abigail-shaped hole in their hearts.
Although Abigail obviously isn’t being resurrected right this second, many Days viewers suspect it could happen down the line.
That’s especially true since Sofia Mattsson (ex-Sasha Gilmore Corbin on General Hospital) has been hired in a mysterious role.
Mattsson won’t make her Days debut until early 2027, but that could give the show plenty of time to play out all the Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) drama before reintroducing Abigail to the canvas.
Based on all the Abigail resurrection talk in the April 21 episode, was the show foreshadowing her eventual homecoming?
Will Abigail indeed be resurrected in the form of a recast played by Sofia Mattsson?
Time will tell, but it’s interesting that even Conner Floyd’s Chad is bringing up Abigail right out of the gate.
Chad will never truly let go of Abigail, so it makes sense that she’s going to come back into play as his love interest down the road.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Chad will have to deal with his feelings for Cat and whatever love triangle is forming with EJ in the meantime, so stay tuned.
