In tonight’s FBI episode, Anna Vorpe was heavily protected. She pulled off a huge favor for someone in power. It happened years ago. She protected them in exchange they had her back. She then got whatever she demanded. This included limited oversight. She answers to no one. She doesn’t even have to follow the law.
She was really getting away with murder and that’s why the FBI finally had enough of it. They’ve been investigating her. OA was deep undercover with her. He planted a listening device in her secret office. It came in handy because he made sure to blow up an opp. He would later set off a small explosive in London.
Somehow Anna was able to cover that up. She made contact with her protector the night her Strike Team returned stateside. She said the bombing would be like nothing ever happen. It’s because she kept pulling that string. She called a man who was unidentified at the time. She said she covered for him four years ago and now he had to make the bombing go away. He asked in a tired voice when will it end? The answer was never. It never does with blackmailers until they either die or get caught in the crime.
The FBI found out about the blackmail by listening to that call. They then tried to connect it to whatever happened four years ago. There were two incidents. One was at a company that was stopped from expanding because of a rare orchid. Anna didn’t seem the flower type. The other event was the death of a teenage girl.
Her name was Tiara Wylie. She died of an apparent suicide that didn’t hold up. They looked into her murder. The only witness that saw the victim with her boyfriend was threatened to keep his mouth shut. The autopsy had been faked. Maggie checked with a doctor friend of hers.
The injuries on that girl showed she died in a car accident. Earlier, that night she had been bought cocaine off her friend. Her friend is Angus Cameron. He was the buddy that was also the witness. He worked with Tiara at the a rich country club where she met her boyfriend. Angus never saw the guy’s face.
He merely heard his voice. He knew he had been in the car. He was the one driving. The coke might’ve been his anyways because Tiara didn’t normally do drugs. The guy she was dating was probably Ross Carver. He was the son of Ernest Carver. He was the Undersecretary of Defense.
Ernest oversaw a lot of government contracts. He oversaw black opps. He’s the one giving Anna everything she wanted and its all because his son killed that girl. His son was high when he got into a car accident. Only the coverup had been sloppy. It quickly fell apart once the FBI began digging. It didn’t sit right with OA or his federal friends. They brought in Scola and Eva. They were forced to bring in ADIC Green as well. He found out about an unsanctioned listening device. He demanded answers and Isobel told him everything.
The funny thing is that Green was on her side. He did believe Anna should be stopped. She was a war criminal. She’s abducted and even killed their own citizens. She could undo everything the FBI was meant to uphold. Green sided with the FBI on this one. He wasn’t fully okay with Isobel going off book. There was bound to be repercussions. He just felt taking down Anna should be done first. They devised a plan on what to do. They determined that Ross was the weak link. They brought him in for questioning.
They brought up Tiara. They mentioned that she died in a car accident. It happened on the same night his conveniently was reported stolen and found burnt up. Why would thieves burn a car rather than strip it of parts? Ross also lied about knowing Tiara. They went to the same high school. They were both on the student council. There were plenty of photos of them together. They definitely knew each other. They didn’t have anything to hold Ross on so he demanded to leave. He also demanded the return of his phone.
Ross immediately called his dad. He asked them why they were digging into Tiara’s death? His death mentioned a code word. He said “go smell some dandelions”. Ross was then followed to a building with that flower on the door. Maggie and Isaiah followed him in. There were simply too late to stop what happened to him. Ross was killed. His death was made to appear as if it was an overdose. It hadn’t been. Anna and one of her people were spotted leaving the building not long after this alleged overdose. They killed Ross.
Which didn’t sit right with his father. Ernest never thought that crazy woman would kill his own son. He was still going to let her get away with it until Maggie put the pieces together. It wasn’t Ross in the car. He wasn’t the boyfriend. Ernest was. Ernest agreed to testify against Anna for full immunity. He also warned them against finding a loophole. They gave him what he wanted and they did so right on time because they stopped Anna before she could kill OA. She figured out he planted a listening device in her office. She was torturing him.
Anna was done for. OA helped in his own rescue. He took down some of Anna’s men. He was later reinstated to the FBI once the dust cleared.
And Anna’s blackmail ended in her own arrest.
THE END!
