In tonight’s Fire Country episode, Bode, Bode, Bode! This man can never stay out of trouble. He’s been doing really well lately. He was now a part of REMS. He was in a new and great relationship. Yet, his past kept calling. Bode had apparently broken into a home and beaten up the owner as he tried to rob the place. He was a drug addict. He was still using back then.

He still remembered the incident and now that he was in a better place he wanted to make amends. His Uncle Luke told him not to. They were writing the guy off as a troll. It doesn’t matter if it was true. The only thing that counts was the fact that the man was leaving the same message on all of their social media page.

CalFire was getting their legal team involved now. They were trying to shut down this Danny Marks. It just that he refuses to go away. Marks was claiming that Bode ruined his life. He said Bode beat him and left him for dead.

Bode’s memories of that fight were a little hazy because he was high at the time, but it didn’t look like he did any serious damage from his memories. He shoved Marks. Marks hit the desk behind him and was knocked out. Bode didn’t keep wailing on the guy. He simply ran out of there with whatever stolen items he found.

Luke told Bode to stay away from social media. He also asks that Bode not contact Marks in any way. It could be used as evidence against him and so why was Bode trying to DM him later.

Marks stopped bothering trying to contact CalFire. He instead posted on his own an open plea. He demanded that Bode take responsibility. Bode was DM’ing him when Eve spotted him. She stopped him. She repeated everything that Luke told him and she even said she’d keep what happened between them.

Bode hasn’t told Jake about Marks. Nor was he planning on it because it was Jake’s bachelor weekend. The firehouse was holding a fundraiser for Firefighters with Cancer.

They were free to travel to San Francisco to celebrate Jake’s upcoming marriage. They all traveled. Bode was the designed driver because he couldn’t drink. Eve had recently tried to get Cole a job at 42. Manny turned her down because he said Sharon already filled the spot. Eve didn’t know who won the spot until they got into a drunken fight with tech bros.

Bode tried to ease it. They were throwing hatches. Bode offered a competition. Whoever wins gets to stay and the loser has to leave. The tech bros lost. They refused to leave.

One of them threw a punch that Bode ducked. It then hit Jake. Bode was about to hit back when he stopped. He kept picturing Marks. It turns out his memories weren’t at their best. He did punch Marks. The tech bros got thrown out and they went back to celebrating. Jake even broke the news that his brother was joining 42.

Bode knew about the Cole situation with Eve. He didn’t say anything. He let Eve do the talking. Eve couldn’t believe that Jake pulled strings for Malcolm to join when he didn’t even pass his CalFire physical to return to active duty. Eve and Jake went back and forth over Malcolm fitness with him right there when Bode tried to cut the tension.

He reminded Eve that it was Jake’s bachelor weekend. He didn’t think she should argue with him right now. Eve then said he refused to address Marks so he couldn’t talk.

Jake had just asked who Marks was when they heard a crash. There had been a car that crashed into the cable car. They all sobered up to remember they were firefighters. They got the woman behind the wheel.

They also evacuated everyone on the cable car. It was as they thought it was done that the female driver asked about the pedestrian. She swerved to miss a pedestrian that she believes got hit by the cable car. Not only was he hit, but he was still under the thing and he was bleeding out. It was the guy who threw the punch that hit Jake.

His name was Bryson. He was trapped under the cable car. By working together, they ensured that Bryson survived long enough to make it into the ambulance. He even thanked them.

They saved the day and it made Bode remember this weekend about Jake. They pulled off a daring rescue. Which Jake said it fits him to a tee. He was glad that Bode was his best man. Eve also came around on Malcolm. Not enough to mention she was interested in his sister only it was enough. She met with Eleanor after the trip.

Manny also helped a father struggling with a little girl. It reminded him of when Gabriela was young. He struggled and his pride often got in the way. Manny told the father that the firefighters were there to help no matter what. Manny also didn’t press charges for the father stealing six hundred bucks from the fundraiser. Only he did talk to Roberta again.

Roberta has a aneruysm that could rupture at any time. Manny didn’t want to restart their relationship. And it didn’t mean he stopped caring so he offered to be there for her as she struggled with her fears about surgery.

Jake also handed over Marks’s phone number to Bode. He did some digging. He was now willing to back Bode no matter what he chose and Bode chose to call the number.

THE END!
