General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Friday, August 28, indicate that one Port Charles resident will defend her new partnership.
There’ll be some risky steps and a chance for some exes to grow closer as well, so let’s discuss all the drama that’s coming up.
For starters, Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) will be wallowing in despair when Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) comes along and quizzes her about who’s responsible for her pain.
Although Willow can’t go into the details of her latest mess with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), she can certainly spin a story that’ll earn her more of Chase’s compassion.
Willow will no doubt complain about Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) too, but he’ll be off speaking with Serena Baldwin (Kelly Kruger) at the Metro Court pool.
Serena will give Michael a nudge to ditch his business attire and join her in the sun, but he may want to concentrate on Deception.
As for Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), they’ll have a discussion of their own.
Valentin and Carly will decide something as a team, so that’ll strengthen their bond on Friday’s show.
Elsewhere, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will put Ava Jerome (Maura West) through a grilling session and voice concerns about her partnership with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).
Ava will acknowledge that they’re rather “strange bedfellows,” but she’ll think it’s necessary if they want to take down their common enemy.
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is indeed Ava and Drew’s main target, but Drew needs to get rid of Jack Brennan’s (Chris McKenna) blackmail material first.
Ava has agreed to pitch in by distracting Brennan while Drew rummages through his hotel suite.
Drew will meet with Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) before this search gets underway to deliver a crucial request.
“Why do you want it and on whom do you plan to use it?” Martin demands to know in Friday’s GH preview video.
Will Drew seek Martin’s help getting the drug that’ll most likely end up in Brennan’s drink?
Ava can be seen pouring a packet of something into a beverage in the weekly promo, so that’s worth keeping in mind.
However, it’s also possible Martin will help Drew dig up some leverage of his own.
It’ll be interesting to see exactly what Drew wants and whether Martin is willing to come through for him.
It looks like Brennan will disrupt someone’s conversation before he gets pulled into Ava and Drew’s trap, but the plan will come with complications.
Drew’s going to get thrown off course a bit, so we’ll see if his hotel room hunt still pans out.
On another note, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) will be in supportive mode on Friday’s episode.
Will Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) once again need some guidance?
Next, Sonny will intend to come through for Laura Collins (Genie Francis) while she’s in Ireland.
Laura may have lingering concerns about Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and the chaos he could still cause, even from inside those prison walls.
Sonny may vow to make sure Sidwell doesn’t hurt anyone else on his watch.
As for the latest cast news, Geoffrey Rivas will portray Warden Alvarez in Friday’s show.
There’ll be some scenes at Pentonville, where Sidwell and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) will apparently end up rooming together.
