General Hospital (GH) update for Friday, July 24, indicates that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) will have an unexpected encounter with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) while things take a jaw-dropping turn for Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) near the Quartermaine boathouse.
Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) will also get put on the spot, so there’ll be a lot happening in Port Charles.
At the police station, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will take a warmer approach with Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) at Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) request, but Chase will question his motives.
Chase will wonder if he’s being tested somehow, so Dante may admit trust needs to be rebuilt.
Dante and Chase could be work partners again if Chase gets back to detective status, so they’ll agree to try repairing their relationship.
Meanwhile, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will quiz Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) about his black box recovery mission and what this is really all about.
Brennan will leave Josslyn in the dark on his desire to help Willow and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) blackmail Drew into silence.
Drew’s ability to talk will become a big part of the story in Friday’s show.
Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) doesn’t know Drew has regained that ability, but she’ll be determined to help him speak through the communication tools available to him.
Since Willow keeps putting up roadblocks on this, Liz will push her to cave in.
The fact that Willow’s been dragging her feet won’t make sense to Elizabeth, so she’ll put Willow on the spot with her interrogation.
As for Jason, he’ll cross paths with Drew when he makes it back from his vacation with Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn).
Drew will still be in his wheelchair near the boathouse when Jason approaches him about a fresh start.
Jason will want a new beginning for Danny as well, so Danny will agree he’d like to put any past tension to rest.
All Danny’s ever wanted is to be a consistent part of Scout Quartermaine’s (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) life, so Jason will push him to make peace with Drew.
After Brennan checks in with Nina about not having the Drew dirt yet, she’ll get an unpleasant surprise.
Drew will pipe up and assume Nina got bad news, so she’ll flip out when she realizes he’s already resumed talking.
It looks like Nina will take charge of the situation by shoving Drew into the water.
Drew will be at risk of drowning, but it appears Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) will come to his rescue in the coming episodes.
At the hospital, Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) will get fed up over Britt’s bellyaching and remind her that the door’s right there if she wants to walk out it.
Since Lucas will apologize to someone eventually, it could be Britt if he decides he’s being too harsh.
Then again, Lucas might apologize to Jason instead and wish there was something he could’ve done to prevent his WSB imprisonment.
Regardless, Jason will land at GH, where Britt will be over the moon to see him.
General Hospital spoilers say Jason and Britt’s reunion may not go according to plan on her end, so stay tuned.
