General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the show has been delivering on-screen clues to suggest that Tristan Rogers’ (Robert Scorpio) memorial is imminent.
There’ll inevitably be some exciting returns once it’s time for Robert’s funeral, so let’s consider which characters and actors might make GH comebacks for this.
For starters, Genie Francis (Laura Collins) will certainly be back in the mix by then.
Laura is currently with Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) and Ace Cassadine (Kieran and Karis Barry) in Ireland, but she’ll return in the not-too-distant future.
Laura will surely attend Robert’s memorial along with some other familiar faces.
The show has confirmed that some blast-from-the-past characters will indeed reenter the picture this fall.
It was mentioned that Robert is supposedly coming home for a visit with Holly Sutton (Emma Samms), but he might have some fatal medical crisis that prevents it.
Will Holly end up coming back alone and mourning her love instead?
Emma Samms has some ongoing health challenges, but she’s managed to make some comebacks in the past and might have another one ahead for Tristan Rogers’ tribute show.
Will Ethan Lovett (last played by Christian Howard) also pop up to support his mother or be too afraid due to the whole Phoebe Chase (Luna and Lucia Creighton) situation?
It’d be great if Nathan Dean could reprise the role briefly and be there for Holly.
The timing might work out for the Phoebe story too if Ethan is around when her true paternity comes out.
Even if Christian Howard or another recast has to fill in instead, Ethan might return for Robert’s memorial and more Phoebe drama.
Although Sofia Mattsson scored a new role on Days of Our Lives, it’s possible DOOL might loan her to GH for a quick Sasha Gilmore Corbin reprisal.
However, the better choice here might be to go ahead and recast. That way, Sasha could potentially stick around Port Charles or at least come visit more often.
We should also talk about the potential for Kimberly McCullough to return as Robin Scorpio.
McCullough is focused on directing these days, but she might make an exception and return to acting for something as important as Tristan Rogers’ memorial.
Whatever the case, there’ll hopefully be some key players who resurface once Robert’s funeral goes down.
General Hospital spoilers say the news of Robert’s death will rock Port Charles, so stay tuned for the difficult moments to come.
