General Hospital Monday, February 9 Recap: Cullum’s Threatening Carly Visit, Dante & Brennan Team Up for Anna

General Hospital (GH) recap for Monday, February 9, reveals that Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) paid Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) a disturbing visit while Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) teamed up for the Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) truth.

At Carly’s place, she talked Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) out of going back over to Wyndemere by insisting she didn’t want to be the one to tell Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) he was dead!

Carly was afraid Valentin would get caught and it would all end in disaster, so he backed off the idea.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) gave Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) updates on Anna’s claim that Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) was alive and that he’d been holding her hostage.

Jason heard all the details before Felicia asked him to speak with Brennan, but Jason said “absolutely not” since he didn’t trust the WSB after the way they’d handled things.

Meanwhile, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Mac Scorpio (John J. York) filled Dante in on all the Anna drama, so he was surprised to learn she claimed she’d been kidnapped by Faison and that there’d never been a WSB mission at all.

Since Anna had to remain in France for her mental health treatment and to appear in court, Dante was offered the chance to make his police commissioner gig permanent.

Dante didn’t accept on the spot since he had other commitments in his life, but he was willing to mull it over and get back to Laura.

In Brennan’s office, Cullum said Anna was at a mental hospital in France after going rogue and breaking protocols.

Brennan didn’t think any of that sounded like Anna, but Cullum insisted his source was solid.

Since Anna wasn’t the WSB’s problem anymore, Cullum pushed Brennan to turn his attention back to finding Valentin and cleaning up the mess he made.

Brennan made some phone calls trying to get more Anna info, but it was classified.

Dante came looking for the truth about Anna and pointed out that she claimed she was never on a WSB mission.

This unsettled Brennan since he’d already been feeling like something was off about this whole situation.

Dante and Brennan agreed to keep this conversation between them as they continued.

After Brennan told Dante about the altered photos sent to Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner), he realized the WSB’s story didn’t add up and felt Anna was in real trouble.

Back with Cullum, he paid Carly a visit and suggested she’d been a distraction for Brennan, who needed to work on finding Valentin.

Cullum also mentioned that Brennan just received some upsetting news about Anna’s mental break, so Carly was suspicious since that didn’t sound like Anna.

However, Cullum assured Carly that anyone could crack under the right circumstances.

Once Cullum was gone, Carly filled Valentin in on her interaction with Cullum. Valentin didn’t buy Cullum’s claims about Anna, but he made a call to France and was able to back up the story.

Afterward, Valentin destroyed the burner phone and debated the situation with Carly.

Since Valentin blamed the WSB for what Anna was going through, he felt they must be held accountable.

Next on Monday’s GH episode, Emma told Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) everything that happened with Anna in France, so he did his best to comfort her.

Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) showed up out of the blue and saw that Emma was in distress, so she pumped her for info and learned Anna claimed she’d been abducted by Faison.

Gio eventually shut down Josslyn’s interrogation since Emma had been through so much.

Josslyn looked like the wheels were turning as she left and pulled out The Crystalline Conspiracy novel she’d been reading.

Back with Emma, she told Gio that she needed to leave town for a while.

Emma planned to tell Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberly McCullough) about Anna’s ordeal in person and assumed her mom would want them to go back to France together.

Gio offered to go with Emma, but she felt this was something she needed to do on her own.

As Gio gave Emma a reassuring hug, he let her know they’d face whatever was next together.

At Wyndemere, Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) brought over brunch for Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and wasn’t happy to find him alone on the sofa with Ava Jerome (Maura West) dealing with art business.

Ava and Lucy bickered while Sidwell was out of the room, so there was plenty of tension as Sidwell returned.

Lucy brought up Ava’s horrible past and didn’t want her around Sidwell anymore, so she insisted he’d have to choose between them.

Sidwell pointed out that although he liked Lucy and valued their time together, he didn’t take ultimatums from anyone.

As Lucy left in a huff, she made a comment to herself about Sidwell regretting this.

General Hospital spoilers say Lucy’s feud with Ava is about to get worse, so stay tuned!
