General Hospital (GH) update for Monday, July 13, indicates that a big milestone is coming up for the ABC soap. Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will also find himself facing a rollercoaster of emotions while Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) cautions Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) about the road she’s headed down.
Since Monday marks the show’s 16,000th episode, it’ll be a special one that comes with some shockers.
Jason will get some unexpected news in captivity and will end up on a flight home to Port Charles.
On that flight, Jason will look roughed up from his harsh experience as a prisoner and will be deep in thought as he considers his future.
Over with Brennan, he’ll surprise Carly with a warning.
Brennan may play up Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) old fixation with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and insist Carly will never have his full attention.
Meanwhile, Valentin will catch up with Anna at her apartment, where he’ll share Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) message – though it’s really more of a ploy to push the exes closer.
Josslyn is counting on Valentin’s obsession with Anna eventually causing a split from Carly.
Anna already heard about her gaslighting from Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), but now Valentin will back her up.
Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) and Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) were behind Anna’s hostage nightmare, so Valentin will be sorry for what she went through.
Anna will ultimately seem agitated as she questions how Valentin knows something in particular.
In the midst of this conversation, Anna might struggle with some Peter August (Wes Ramsey) visions and try to keep Valentin in the dark.
Anna will get warned about something on Monday’s show, so we’ll see if that warning comes from Valentin or turns out to be more of “Peter’s” bad advice.
At GH, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will pitch someone to fill the 16th hospital board seat, which sounds like another little nod to the 16,000th episode.
It looks like Laura will push Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) to slide in that spot and leave Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) disgusted.
Tracy will ask Laura if she’s lost her mind, so they’ll definitely clash over Laura’s pick.
Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), on the other hand, will apparently think Willow is going to be the perfect fit.
Speaking of Willow, she’ll remain at the heart of Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) fight with Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard).
Brook Lynn admitted she framed Willow and will soon ask if she pushed Chase in his former flame’s direction.
Regardless, Chase will have a choice to make when it comes to his marriage and the family he’s building with Brook Lynn.
In the end, it seems Chase will decide it’s time to put Brook Lynn and Phoebe (Luna and Lucia Creighton) first despite his disapproval of how BLQ handled all this.
However, Brook Lynn hasn’t told Chase the whole story since he still doesn’t know she’s the one who sped away from the crash site that night.
That secret could still come back to haunt Brook Lynn down the road.
As for Lucas Jones (Van Hansis), he’ll realize Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) is a free woman again.
Britt will wonder what Britt’s future looks like now that she’s in the clear and knows she doesn’t have Huntington’s disease.
Britt will also accuse someone of something on Monday’s episode, so that could involve a run-in with a new character.
Once Dean Geyer pops up as Dr. Tristan Roberts, Britt will get off to a rocky start with him.
General Hospital spoilers say the 16,000th episode will be packed full of action, so stay tuned.
