General Hospital (GH) recap for Monday, July 20, reveals that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) refused to budge while Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) received stunning news.
Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Jack Brennnan (Chris McKenna) also faced some post-passion issues, so here’s how Monday’s GH episode played out.
When Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) arrived at Carly’s place with a suitcase hoping to move in,
Carly pushed her to figure things out with Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) instead.
Charlotte wound up mentioning Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) being off on a trip with Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn), so Carly was shocked since she hadn’t received any communication from Jason.
After Charlotte showed Carly a father-son selfie that Danny had sent her, Carly saw that Jason looked OK other than his banged-up face.
Although Carly seemed a little hurt over Jason not contacting her about his return, she understood why he was focusing on Danny right now.
Once Brick found Valentin on a basketball court, he advised Valentin to leave Port Charles for Carly and Charlotte’s sake.
Valentin recognized Brick’s name once he introduced himself and realized this message was coming from Sonny.
However, Valentin was adamant about being a changed man, so he pushed Brick to let Sonny know that he’d be sticking around to build a life with Charlotte as well as Carly.
Next, Nina woke up in Brennan’s bed, so there were some flashbacks of them stripping down for passion the night before.
Brennan eventually implied that Nina hit the sheets with him to ensure he’d help protect Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen).
Nina was appalled, especially when Brennan acted like he went along with things to see how far she’d take it.
After Nina hurled insults and suggested she wasn’t surprised that Carly dumped him, Brennan smoothed things over with an apology and acknowledged that he’d genuinely enjoyed their time together.
Nina felt the same way, but she rejected Brennan’s offer to do it again sometime since their situation was too complicated.
At the PCPD, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) let Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) know she was willing to offer up her testimony against Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) at his trial.
Meanwhile, Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) was in hot water with Joe Fitzpatrick (Jonathan Bennett) for aiding and abetting Sidwell, so he turned to Laura for help.
Laura encouraged Ezra to cut a plea deal for immunity in exchange for proof against Sidwell.
After Laura spoke on Ezra’s behalf and got the news that the plea deal worked out, she pulled him into a warm embrace.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) spent the morning with Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) since he had some extra time before work and was adamant about keeping her Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) frame-up plot buried.
In the stables, Willow brought Scout Quartermaine (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) over since she needed to ask Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) for a favor.
Tracy was immediately suspicious of Willow and tossed threats around, but Scout made it clear it was her idea to come over.
Willow made herself scarce and bumped into Chase, who turned down an offer to accompany her to a conference in Washington.
Chase mentioned that he was making his family with Brook Lynn a priority, so Willow realized it was best to keep her distance and just wanted him to be happy.
Back in the stables, Scout spoke to Tracy and Brook Lynn about her desire to use the lake to train for an upcoming charity swim, which would raise money for breast cancer research in Monica Quartermaine’s (Leslie Charleson) name.
The catch was that Scout wanted Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) to come watch her, so Tracy got on board and donated to the cause along with Brook Lynn.
At Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) place, Lulu found him with Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) and got confirmation that whatever she said was covered under attorney-client privilege.
That led to Lulu admitting Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) was behind Ross Cullum’s (Andrew Hawkes) shooting.
Although Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) knew along with a handful of others, Ric wasn’t concerned about hearsay and believed Rocco was in the clear.
Sonny just wished Lulu had come to him for help sooner.
Lulu asked if there was anything Sonny could do about Valentin, so Sonny hinted about already having a plan in motion to drive Valentin out of PC.
General Hospital spoilers say Sonny and Valentin’s feud will come with some curveballs, so stay tuned.
