General Hospital (GH) recap for Monday, July 6, reveals that fans got confirmation on Cassius Faison aka fake Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) not being dead after all.
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) also got a shock as Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) reunited with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).
For starters, Z (John Oliver) mocked Carly for her mommy rescue of Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), who’d given no indication that she wanted out of the WSB.
Carly wound up slapping Z and shut down his attempt to ask her out to dinner since she didn’t sense the same spark he did.
After Carly made it clear that she’d get Josslyn out of the WSB if it was the last thing she did, she stormed out.
Afterward, Z visited a very much alive Cassius, who was handcuffed to a hospital bed at an undisclosed location.
Cassius found out about all the charges he was facing and that Josslyn had signed a sworn statement about his responsibility in the cold fusion project.
Z suggested Cassius could be facing the death penalty, but then he offered an alternative by offering to let Cassius come work for him.
At Lulu’s house, Charlotte told her mom about Valentin hiding in Port Charles since his escape, but she insisted Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) was the only other person who knew.
Lulu felt confident that someone else had to be involved.
Outside Lulu’s place, Danny pushed Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) to stop being a coward and turn himself in for shooting Cullum.
Rocco refused since he’d made a vow to Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and his parents to stay safe.
As the fight escalated, Lulu and Charlotte intervened. Danny realized Lulu had covered for Rocco and blew up at her before stomping off.
Rocco and Lulu also found out Charlotte told Danny the truth after eavesdropping on Lulu’s conversation with Laura Collins (Genie Francis), so they obviously weren’t happy about that!
After Lulu received word that Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean) had been hospitalized, she dragged Charlotte off to GH with her.
Rocco stayed behind and shared a nice moment with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), who got Rocco’s gratitude since he knew his dad had broken a lot of rules for him.
At Turning Woods, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) stopped Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) from getting out of bed and pushed him to continue his recovery instead of resuming his work at the WSB.
Agent S. Vaughn (Bryce Durfee) showed up to talk to Brennan about his upcoming debriefing, but he was glad Nina was there since he needed to break some bad news about the man she knew as Nathan being dead.
At GH, Josslyn apologized to Lucas for manipulating him as part of her WSB mission.
Lucas was hurt, but he agreed when Josslyn asked him to do something for her.
That led to Lucas visiting Britt and informing her that her Huntington’s disease was never real.
Lucas relayed what he’d learned from Josslyn about Britt’s fake diagnosis and the saline-based fake medication that had kept her in line.
Britt had an emotional outburst over all the horrible things she’d done and all the people she’d hurt in the process.
After Britt yelled at Lucas to get out, he called Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) to come comfort her.
Britt continued to berate herself since she never put that medication under a microscope and was blinded by her desire to live.
Liesl thought the important thing was that Britt would survive and that they could be a family with Cassius.
However, Nina arrived moments later to fill Liesl and Britt in on Cassius suffering a grim fate.
Back at the hospital, Josslyn got a surprise visit from Vaughn.
As Vaughn and Josslyn reconnected, they agreed Brennan had been right to send him away since their romance would’ve interfered with their work.
In Ethan’s room, Sonny visited him along with Ava Jerome (Maura West), so they all rehashed the Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) drama before Sonny left.
After some jokes about Ethan deserving compensation for saving Ava at the gallery, she whipped out her checkbook.
Ethan suggested they could call it even since Ava was keeping secrets for him regarding Phoebe (Luna and Lucia Creighton).
Ava found Lucas looking distraught on her way out, so he admitted to her that Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) died for nothing and explained Britt’s fake Huntington’s situation.
At Turning Woods again, Danny tracked Brennan down to tell him who actually shot Cullum.
In the hospital parking lot, Carly ran into Sonny and told him about Josslyn being in the WSB.
Lulu also showed up with Charlotte, so they had a front-row seat to Valentin’s reunion with Carly when he stepped out of another vehicle.
Carly ran into Valentin’s arms and kissed him passionately, so Sonny, Lulu and Charlotte all watched the stunning moment unfold.
