General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that two familiar faces may be leaving Port Charles. The show seems to be shoving Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) and Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) toward the exit ramp together.
The October 21 episode brought Molly’s confession about a dream job offer at a prominent law firm.
The catch is that taking it would mean moving to Chicago, so Molly spilled this news to Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and got some advice.
Alexis hinted about Cody potentially wanting to move with Molly and pushed her to talk to him.
Since Cody is head over heels for Molly at this point, it’s doubtful he’ll stand in her way or let her go alone.
In other words, it would be out of character for Cody to hold Molly back from this amazing opportunity by asking her to stay.
Likewise, it wouldn’t be believable if Cody chose to remain in PC so he can keep shoveling out the stables while wallowing in heartbreak.
Fall preview info seemingly points to a double exit, too.
Let’s look at what GH Co-Head writers Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten told TV Insider in their interview about what to expect.
Van Etten and Korte played up Molly’s career opportunity before adding that “taking her shot could mean saying goodbye to Cody.
Molly’s decision will set in motion a series of events that will change the course of not only their relationship, but several others as well.”
If we read between the lines, it sounds like Cody will go with Molly and their joint departure will affect those they leave behind.
Instead of bidding Cody farewell, Molly’s choice may deepen her relationship with him as they kick off a new Chicago adventure together.
Molly’s family members will be sad to see her go if that’s the case.
The same goes for Cody’s loved ones, but Molly’s sudden job offer certainly feels like an easy way to get them both off canvas.
