General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the show’s juggling a ton of stories right now. Some of them are exciting and delivering can’t-miss episodes while others are flopping hard!
With that in mind, we should talk about three storylines that need to end ASAP.
Here are the ones that should become a thing of the past sooner rather than later.
1) All the Deception drama featuring Serena
When the news broke that Serena Baldwin (Kelly Kruger) would be returning as a recast, it seemed like a fun idea.
However, the show clearly had no firm plan for Serena, who doesn’t really fit on canvas or add much to the show.
GH writers dropped Serena’s potential romance with Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) and are now testing her with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), but most fans aren’t seeing much chemistry at this point.
Plus, does anyone really want to hear about the rescued falcons or care whether Deception becomes part of ELQ or not?
This storyline is a dud that needs to fade out as soon as possible.
2) Anna’s mental health struggles
After Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) got kidnapped and held hostage at Wyndemere, she ended up at a mental health facility in France.
Anna then faked her recovery well enough to get released, but viewers still had to watch all her Peter August (Wes Ramsey) hallucinations.
Once Anna went off the rails in that Mount Emerson showdown with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), she began therapy and is trying to work through her Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) issues.
Plenty of fans are hoping Anna is successful so that she can finally move forward.
Finola Hughes is acting her heart out, but it’d be nice to see Anna get back to her fierce, normal self.
Thankfully, the end of this storyline may be in sight thanks to Anna’s huge step forward in the October 29 episode.
3) Elizabeth’s love triangle with Ric and Dante
We’re all for Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) having a storyline, but this love triangle with Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) leaves a lot to be desired.
All these repetitive bonding scenes between Dante and Elizabeth just aren’t very entertaining.
Liz doesn’t really sizzle with Dante or even Ric for that matter, so this love triangle feels like a flop.
The show’s been hinting about jealous Ric spiraling out of control for months, but they haven’t delivered on that so far.
Let’s hope that changes so that this story can at least have an exciting climax!
