General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will work hard to figure out who set him up.
Sonny knows someone must be framing him for the attack on Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota), which resulted in Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) getting injured, too.
Now Sonny’s furious since it looks like he lied to his loved ones about getting out of the mob.
Even some of Sonny’s own family members have turned against him, so he certainly has a right to be furious with the schemers responsible.
Sonny doesn’t know who’s behind the setup yet, but he’ll surely uncover the real story sooner or later.
What happens once Sonny realizes Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) are at fault?
It was Ava’s idea to frame Sonny, but Drew happily went along with her plot and funded it.
Drew’s the one who paid off Vito (Sam Duffy), so he made sure Sonny’s previously loyal employee turned against him.
GH spoilers suggest Sonny will eventually discover Drew and Ava’s guilt, so we should consider the fallout.
Here are four ways Sonny may get revenge on Ava and Drew.
1) Sonny forces Ava out of Avery’s life?
For starters, Sonny may make it his mission to shut Ava out of Avery Corinthos’ (last played by Ava and Grace Scarola) life for good.
Nothing matters more to Ava than Avery, so Sonny may hit her where it hurts and make sure she’s completely cut off from their daughter.
2) Sonny makes sure Drew loses Scout?
Sonny might also find a way to ensure that Drew loses Scout Cain (Kayden Brenna Tokarski).
Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) could end up with custody of Scout depending on how far Sonny goes with his plot for vengeance.
3) Sonny uses Brennan’s burial against Drew and Ava?
If Sonny ultimately manages to prove Ava and Drew were behind the setup, that could be one path to criminal prosecution.
However, we could imagine Sonny taking his revenge mission even further than that.
Sonny might even find out that Ava and Drew buried Jack Brennan’s (Chris McKenna) body, so he could potentially arrange for some evidence and try to take them down for Brennan’s demise.
4) Sonny’s reputation bolstered while Ava and Drew’s lives fall apart?
Of course, Sonny will never be considered a saint around Port Charles, but his reputation could be bolstered a bit once his innocence is proven.
People may finally start to believe Sonny is out of the mob and headed down a better road.
Sonny could enjoy the satisfaction of his own life improving while he causes Drew and Ava’s lives to crumble, so revenge may be sweet.
