General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that there are good reasons to believe Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) will put Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) in danger and point the finger at Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
However, it looks like Drew will make some crucial miscalculations when it comes to his vengeful scheme.
According to Sonny’s fall preview info, his enemies will use his history against him.
Sonny may be out of the mob, but his foes will still make sure that reputation comes back to haunt him.
Of course, that fits for Drew since he’s obsessed with Sonny finally paying for his many crimes.
Drew feels like Sonny has gotten away with his transgressions for far too long, so he wants to take him down.
That’s why it’s reasonable to assume Drew might be the one who’ll frame Sonny for the upcoming attack on Sidwell.
We can’t forget that Drew loathes Sidwell too and certainly won’t mind if he suffers in the process.
Sidwell was the person who supplied the paralytic doses to Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), so it’s his fault that Drew spent months unable to speak or move.
It was Sidwell’s idea to use this strategy to keep Drew in line and ultimately put Willow in his Congress seat instead.
Prison may not be enough of a punishment for Sidwell as far as Drew’s concerned.
Targeting and hurting Sidwell as part of a Sonny frame-up plot would make revenge even sweeter for Drew.
In the preview video for the week of September 21-25, one of the attackers urges Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) not to be in his cell after lunch.
Drew may order this as well in an effort to keep Curtis out of the chaos, but Curtis will still end up critically injured when the plan goes wrong.
Curtis will be on his way to the ICU soon, so he’ll apparently be collateral damage.
Once that news comes out, Drew may decide it’s a small price to pay as long as Sidwell and Sonny suffer like he wants.
Thanks to some leaked GH scripts, we know that Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will recuse himself from this case due to Sonny’s suspected involvement.
There’ll be proof that the men connected to this attack are on Sonny’s payroll, so even ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) will worry Sonny broke his promise not to go after Sidwell.
It seems likely that Drew will be pulling the strings here and that he’ll make sure Sonny looks incredibly guilty.
General Hospital spoilers say Sonny will inevitably be cleared sooner or later, so stay tuned to see if Drew will be exposed as the person behind all the Pentonville drama instead.
