General Hospital (GH) spoilers for the week of July 20-24 imply that Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) conversation with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will terrify the woman.
During the GH weekly promo, there’s a clip between Drew and Nina. The two are at the Quartermaine boathouse, near the lake.
As Nina is helping Drew get settled in his wheelchair, the man turns to her and says, “What’s wrong, Nina? Bad news …”
Drew hasn’t uttered a word in months since he entered his “locked-in” state.
While GH fans heard him say Willow Cain’s (Katelyn MacMullen) name last week, no one was around.
Nina is sure to be shocked that Drew can speak, although she may not be surprised. Nina and Willow knew this day was coming.
After all, Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) was the one who provided Willow with the drugs to make it look like Drew had a stroke and place him in his paralyzed state.
Now that Jenz is in custody, Willow is not getting the paralytic meds she needs to keep him ‘locked-in.’
Willow can hear the clock ticking in her mind where Drew’s recovery is concerned, which is why she’s been so desperate to find blackmailing information on her ex.
Drew knows that she’s the reason he’s in the state he’s in, and that she shot him twice.
Willow wants to find some intel that she can hang over his head, so he won’t ruin her life and have her children taken away once he gets his mobility back.
To thicken the plot, Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) had blackmailing evidence on Drew that he placed in his black case; however, that’s gone missing and is now in the hands of Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).
Willow has been stretching out the last of the remaining paralytic doses to try and keep Drew in this state for as long as possible, but it appears that he’s getting stronger and more alert as each day passes.
As such, Nina will be horrified by Drew’s statements, but she knew this was coming.
Still, as the two are at the Q boathouse, this also widens the risk of someone hearing Drew.
Drew’s words are crystal clear, so he could call out for help or begin hurling out accusations, so Nina will have to think quickly.
Since they are near the water, and Drew’s still not 100 percent mobile, could Nina slightly tip the chair into the lake out of pure instinct?
Drew’s getting stronger, but not exactly where he needs to be. There’s no way he’d swim his way out, so Nina could be hoping for a ‘miracle’
With that said, General Hospital spoilers for the summer do hint that Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) does save someone that some people don’t want to be saved, so this might be the scenario teasers are referring to!
