General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) may struggle with jealousy if Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) and Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) fake romance moves forward.
Will Emma lose it over Trina and Gio’s phony relationship for the marketing campaign that Simon (Grady Eldridge) is pushing for?
Gio and Trina obviously weren’t on board with the idea of pretending they’re dating for the sake of publicity.
Trina and Gio seem tempted to back out of their contracts when they heard the news, but Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) acted like Simon could come up with another plan.
Nevertheless, Simon has made it clear that this is the path he wants to take, so he expects Brook Lynn to get Gio and Trina to agree to it.
There’s a good chance Trina and Gio are ultimately going to surrender since there wouldn’t be much of a storyline if they didn’t!
Although he obviously doesn’t approve, Kai Taylor (Jen Austin Astrup) may be able to handle Gio and Trina acting all lovey-dovey for the cameras.
Trina’s stalker may have more of an issue with the situation than Kai does if he views Gio as another romantic rival.
However, Emma will surely have problems of her own when it comes to Gio and Trina’s faux romantic connection.
GH August preview spoilers point to Emma’s growing fears about Gio’s career and how it might change things between them.
That could mean Emma will worry about Trina and Gio’s fake relationship becoming real eventually.
Emma may try to tell herself it’s all for show, but part of her will no doubt deal with concerns about Gio legitimately falling for Trina.
Even if that’s not happening at all, Emma’s insecurities could flare up and leave her wondering if Trina is the woman Gio truly wants.
Gio and Trina are probably going to end up kissing as part of this romantic charade, so that could be the moment Emma loses it.
We could certainly imagine Emma confronting Trina and Gio backstage somewhere after a lip lock that looks a little too real in her eyes!
Emma’s friendship with Trina could be derailed depending on how all this plays out.
Gio and Emma’s relationship could land in jeopardy as well, so stay tuned to see if she’ll spiral out of control.
