General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) will dread what’s ahead now that she’s bolted with Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr).
When Rocco first pushed Britt to leave together, she hesitated because she didn’t want him to watch her die.
Rocco insisted that Britt brought him into the world, so he wanted to be there for her when she left it.
Although Britt will enjoy bonding with Rocco on the run, she’ll still hate the idea of him watching her slowly succumb to Huntington’s disease.
Britt predicted that she’d only have a few months left without her medication, but where is she getting this estimate?
Is this based on what Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) and Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) told Britt would happen?
The truth is that Britt’s never really gone long enough without her meds to test much of anything.
Britt previously had some mild tremors when she went too long without a dose, but those could be attributed to the insane amount of stress she’s been under.
Many GH fans have always been skeptical over Britt’s Huntington’s disease.
When Britt was first diagnosed, there were suspicions about Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) cooking up fake results as a way to manipulate Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) through her daughter.
It’s possible that when Cullum and Sidwell saved Britt from a grim fate for their project, they simply went along with that lie to control her.
This whole medication situation could be a scam, so Britt’s time on the run with Rocco could be the start of exposing it.
The longer Britt goes without her medication, the more she’ll expect to have debilitating symptoms.
What if those symptoms don’t come in the end?
Britt may end up feeling fine, even without the vials she thought she was relying on to live a normal life.
Rocco could help Britt figure out that Cullum and Sidwell may have been lying to her this entire time.
Of course, Britt can’t stay out of the picture with Rocco indefinitely.
That’s especially true now that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has put Brick (Stephen A. Smith) on the case.
Even if Cullum finds Rocco and Britt first, you can bet Brick won’t be far behind!
Britt might get tested for Huntington’s again when this is all over and learn she doesn’t have the marker after all.
It’d be a good way to finally resolve this miracle drug storyline, which is honestly offensive to people who actually have Huntington’s or have a loved one affected by it.
General Hospital spoilers suggest Britt may have some shocking news in her future, so stay tuned.
