General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that there may come a day when Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) will become Dr. Corinthos-Davis.
That’s certainly the goal now that it’s been revealed Kristina applied to medical school and somehow miraculously got in.
We get that soaps often have far-fetched twists, but this one is a real doozy!
In what universe has Kristina ever given any indication that she was interested in medicine or that she has the right education and qualifications for med school?
Plus, being a doctor doesn’t fit with Kristina’s flaky personality since she’ll actually have to commit to this if she wants to succeed.
It’s possible it’ll just be another one of Kristina’s failed projects, but it’s also possible GH writers are trying to turn things around for her.
Maybe this undertaking will actually stick and eventually lead to Kristina becoming a successful doctor down the road.
We’ll have to suspend disbelief on how Kristina of all people made it into medical school, but she might come out of this a real doc who’s ready to make a difference.
Even so, that hasn’t stopped fans from complaining about this wild curveball on social media.
Most viewers agree that it came out of left field and didn’t make any sense as an exit strategy for Kristina.
Since Kristina was happily running Charlie’s Pub not too long ago, it’s easy to see why fans are so thrown by this sudden medical school push.
That said, at least Kristina will be busy accomplishing something during her time off-screen.
The show could’ve sent Kristina off to find herself or perhaps reunite with “Blaze” aka Allison Rogers (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) on tour, but the writers are taking the medical school route instead.
If Kristina actually sticks to her plan and finishes what she starts, then she may come home as Dr. Corinthos-Davis somewhere down the line.
It opens the door for some new stories involving Kristina – whether Kate Mansi ultimately returns or a recast takes over at some point.
