General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that we have to ask: Is Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) returning to save Scout Quartermaine (Cosette Abinante) from her monster daddy, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison)?
It’s clear that selfish Drew puts his own needs above those of his own daughter.
Scout has been suffering in Drew’s care and desperately needs her loving mom back in her life.
We also can’t forget about Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn), who’s being kept away from his little sister because of Drew’s grudge against Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
Drew views Danny as an extension of Jason, so he’s refusing to budge on Danny’s restraining order.
If Sam were alive, she’d put a stop to all this.
Sam would never let Drew get away with treating her children so cruelly, so many viewers would like to see her return from the grave and take charge.
The timing feels right considering Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) both made soapy comebacks.
If GH writers can undo Britt and Nathan’s grim fates, they could certainly undo Sam’s.
It’d be easy to write Sam into this storyline involving Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove) final project and include her as the latest back-from-the dead shocker.
Honestly, most Sam fans probably don’t care about the details anyway. Any rewrite that puts Sam back on canvas would be a good one!
In the January 14 episode, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) went on a rant about Drew and how he’d warp Scout into some twisted version of him if given the chance.
Alexis had no choice but to defend Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) and fight for Scout access since Drew could brainwash her granddaughter against Sam’s side of the family.
During Alexis’ conversation with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), she pointed out that Sam wasn’t there to fix this.
That’s why Alexis feels like she has to take control, but maybe Sam could return to repair things after all!
It’d be great to see Sam come back alive and put Drew in his place.
Scout deserves better than her self-centered father and her secret-shooter stepmother since Willow is covering up her guilt.
