General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) could have a new love interest in his future, but he could also have some competition for her heart.
Is a surprising love triangle on the way for Michael now that he’s entered the mix at Deception?
Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) could’ve just as easily sold her Deception shares to somebody else, but Michael is the one who ended up with them.
Michael has promised Maxie that he’ll use those shares wisely and put Deception first with all his decisions.
In other words, Tracy Quartermaine’s (Jane Elliot) hope of Quartermaine unity isn’t always going to be the case.
Michael isn’t willing to just blindly vote Tracy’s way on things and intends to think for himself when it comes to his choices at the company.
GH writers must’ve had a plan when they plopped Michael into this storyline – and that plan could involve Serena Baldwin now that Kelly Kruger is set to make her debut as a recast on July 30.
Kruger sang Rory Gibson’s praises and mentioned working with him in an interview with TV Guide, so Serena and Michael may have a chemistry test in store.
If that goes well, Serena might become a romantic option for Michael.
However, Michael could find himself tangled up in an unexpected love triangle sooner or later.
There have been some rumblings about Serena and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) eventually getting a chemistry test of their own.
Drew played a big role in blowing up Michael’s marriage to Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen), so it wouldn’t be the first time they battled over a love interest.
If the show ultimately finds a way to put Drew in Serena’s orbit, they could develop some intriguing feelings for each other.
Of course, Drew has more drama to play out with Willow and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) first, but he obviously doesn’t love Willow anymore and will need someone else to fall for down the road.
It makes sense to keep Drew and Michael’s rivalry going, especially since Drew made a fist when Michael downplayed Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) suggestion that Drew could be a changed man if he recovered.
It seemed like Drew was getting riled up, so Michael may remain his enemy and could get a romantic rival for Serena after Drew recovers.
Whatever the case, General Hospital spoilers say Michael may soon be moving on from Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell), so stay tuned for more romantic news and any shakeups to come.
