General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) may make an impulsive move and cause a whole lot of drama in the process.
Nina seems poised to give Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) a shove into the water and force Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) to take urgent action.
Scout Quartermaine (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) recently got Tracy Quartermaine’s (Jane Elliot) approval on letting Drew watch her practice at the lake for her upcoming charity swim.
That means Drew will end up near the boathouse with some help from Nina.
GH’s preview video for the week of July 20-24 shows Drew taunting Nina about bad news and revealing his ability to speak.
Drew has secretly been regaining some mobility too, but he obviously can’t move around well enough to swim his way out of what’s coming next.
Back in June, GH Head Writers Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten offered up some intriguing clues in an interview with SOD.
The duo revealed that Drew would make “a big splash” this summer and indicated that when “pushed too far, Nina pushes too far.”
That certainly makes it sound like Nina will impulsively shove Drew into the lake and attempt to let him drown.
It’s possible it’ll happen while Drew is still in his wheelchair, but it’s also possible Drew will manage to stand up as he continues to taunt Nina.
Either way, Nina will likely push Drew right into the lake and cause this big splash that’s been promised.
Since Nina presumably wouldn’t do this if she thought anyone was around to see or hear it, Scout may not be outside for her swim yet when this happens.
Regardless, Gio should hear the commotion from nearby and come running.

It looks like Gio will dive in and put his lifeguard skills to good use as he saves Drew from a grim downing fate.
Nina should be in panic mode as she worries about Drew spilling way too much following the rescue.
