General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) will have good reasons to revert to bad behavior.
Obrecht has a history of doing terrible things, but she’s mellowed and has become a better person in recent years.
However, Liesl may go back off the rails once some new shockers come to light.
GH writers may already be setting the stage for Obrecht’s sinister turn, so let’s talk about some clues that point to trouble ahead.
In the July 3 episode, Obrecht confronted Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) for keeping secrets from her.
Britt let Liesl believe Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) was his twin brother, Nathan West (Ryan Paevey), and kept a lid on the cold fusion project she was forced into.
Obrecht complained since she could’ve helped Britt reverse-engineer the medication if she’d known about it.
Liesl and Britt don’t realize her Huntington’s diagnosis was fake along with the meds, but that’s not the point here.
Obrecht doesn’t feel like Britt wants a real relationship with her based on how she’s been acting.
That’s why Liesl basically washed her hands of Britt and opted to focus on Cassius, but Obrecht will soon find out he’s supposedly deceased.
There’s a good chance Z (John Oliver) is lying about that, but Liesl may believe Cassius is truly dead.
With both her sons gone and a fractured relationship with her daughter, Obrecht will be in a pretty rough place mentally.
Liesl will also see how distraught James West (Gary James Fuller) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) are over all the “Nathan” aka Cassius news, so that’ll break her heart even more.
Of course, things will go from bad to worse when Obrecht finds out Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is betraying Cassius and tarnishing his memory.
Josslyn will tell a totally bogus story about Cassius teaming up with Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and will make Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) seem like the hero who tried to stop him.
Can you imagine how livid Liesl’s going to be when she learns Josslyn is trashing Cassius like this?
That’s only going to add to Obrecht’s heartbreak and fury, so she could be poised to head back down a sinister road.
