General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that a familiar face could be steering Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) down a risky road.
Anna just put on quite a performance with her doctor and made it seem like her mental health recovery is making great strides.
However, Anna still has plenty of issues due to the gaslighting that Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) orchestrated.
There’s a good chance Anna hasn’t truly let go of the notion that Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) could still be alive and pose a serious threat.
That said, it’s another Faison family member who could create the biggest problems for Anna.
GH fans will recall how Peter August (Wes Ramsey) appeared to Anna in vision form while she was stuck in captivity at Wyndemere.
Anna’s mental state is clearly still fragile despite that fake-out with her doctor, so she might still be having visions at this point.
Will Wes Ramsey make more return appearances as Peter perhaps guides Anna down a terrible path?
Anna spoke to Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) on the phone and got her to agree she’d come visit the clinic in France.
Felicia was thrilled to hear from Anna and quickly spread the good news to Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner), who’ll be joining Felicia on this trip.
Unfortunately, summer preview spoilers indicate that Anna will deal with some serious long-term effects when it comes to her time locked up and all the mental trickery she’s endured because of Cullum’s plot.
As for Anna’s attempt to reconnect with her loved ones, that’ll present some unique challenges as well.
“Any happy reunions with friends and family are colored by counsel from a less-than-reliable source,” GH Head Writers Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten confirmed to SOD.
Could Peter be that less-than-reliable source?
Peter may be deceased, but Anna’s nephew could still haunt her a bit and give her the wrong idea about things along the way.
It’s easy to imagine Peter returning with a twist and steering Anna toward trouble in additional visions.
