General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest that Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) could recant her statement where Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) assault charges are concerned – will she admit Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) provoked her ex?
This is sure to create massive conflict in her romance, so let’s talk about all the drama and chaos this will cause.
Curtis and Portia have been at each other’s throats as of late, which has even caused their other child, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), to distance herself from them.
The bone of contention for Curtis is Portia’s relationship with Isaiah, as, for one reason or another, he’s convinced the surgeon was the other driver that left the scene of the crime after Jordan Ashford’s (Tanisha Harper) crash.
Isaiah just rubs Curtis the wrong way, which is a major reason why they fought weeks ago at the Metro Court patio.
The entire incident triggered Curtis to punch Isaiah, injuring the man’s hand, which now affects the doctor’s career.
With that said, Isaiah provoked Curtis by telling him that he’d make a better father to Portia’s baby than Curtis would – so there’s that, too!
But now, Curtis and Portia’s son has arrived, and a baby may bond a couple.
During the Thursday, July 16 episode, Portia and Curtis were wonderfully pleasant to each other as they fawned over the newest addition to their family.
The beautiful moments continued when Trina Robinson joined them, and the family truly came together to welcome lil’ Baby Boy Ashford into the world.
With that said, a nice warning from Aunt Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) solidified Curtis and Portia’s need to stop fighting and keep the peace as the baby needs a calm environment to grow and thrive.
Portia has been on a tirade to nail Curtis for his assault on Isaiah and even lied in her statement to the police.
Other than Curtis and Isaiah, Portia is the only witness, and when she claimed that Isaiah had done nothing to provoke Curtis, it changed the game for the case.
Curtis is slated to spend at least eight months in prison if he is charged or even enters a plea deal.
He may also lose millions more if Isaiah is successful with the lawsuit. At the end of the day, Curtis’ legacy becomes both of Portia’s children’s inheritance.
Will she change her perspective and realize she’s jeopardizing their futures for a man she’s ‘dating’?
Plus, there’s Jordan to think about, too. Portia’s animosity towards Curtis’ new love could slowly vanish.
After all, Jordan visited Portia before she gave birth, basically begging the woman to tell the truth about what happened during the assault.
Still, Portia refused. Despite this, Jordan did not hesitate to run to Portia’s side and help with the baby’s delivery.
Jordan had left Portia’s house before she started having contractions, but came back because she heard screaming.
If Jordan hadn’t returned, it’s hard to say what would’ve happened to Portia and her baby.
Now that the baby’s here, Portia may see everything very differently, especially considering what she went through during delivery.
She may want to bridge peace by recanting her statement, but will Isaiah understand?
