General Hospital (GH) spoilers for the week of June 8 note that Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) will decide to launch a lawsuit against Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), and in an interesting twist of events, his gal pal, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), will not support it.
During the GH promo for this week, Isaiah lets Portia know about his plans to take the law into his own hands – so to speak – by launching a legal case against Curtis for the fight they had some weeks ago.
Of course, Curtis entered the Metro Court Gardens in a rage, reeling from the fact that Isaiah wasn’t facing any repercussions for being the other driver in his and Jordan Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) crash.
So, when he saw Isaiah rubbing Portia’s belly, he lashed out, telling the good doctor to get his hands off his child.
Was Curtis being overly dramatic? Absolutely! Was he being completely unreasonable? Yes!
Still, to add to things, Isaiah wasn’t the other driver that ‘abandoned’ Curtis and Jordan after their car crashed; however, Isaiah did cross a line when he told Curtis that he was going to be a better father to his child than him.
This statement triggered Curtis into punching Isaiah, which caused multiple fractures in his hand, thus resulting in the surgeon taking time off of work – a job that essentially saves people’s lives.
Isaiah has been stewing at the fact that Curtis hasn’t paid the price for his actions, and is looking for justice, so a legal suit makes sense, but will Portia see it like this?
There’s a preview that indicates Portia will plead with Isaiah to hold off on doing anything rash, so will he move forward with this?
Sure, Curtis is absolutely infuriating her, and she’s totally #TeamIsaiah where this situation is concerned, but at the end of the day, she knows that Isaiah poked the bear that caused the punch.
She may not have admitted this to ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor), but launching a lawsuit will not only be expensive, but time-consuming.
Portia is in the final stages of her pregnancy. While she and Curtis are clashing, they need to get their act together and land on the same page, as their baby is on the cusp of entering this world.
A lawsuit would only add fuel to the fire. Portia may not want her infant to be surrounded by fighting, toxicity, and drama.
General Hospital spoilers suggest that Baby Ashford’s arrival might be the reason Portia wants this fighting to end, but will Isaiah agree with her?
After all, his career might be over thanks to Curtis, and he’ll be looking for justice.
