General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that it’s going to be a sizzling summer on the ABC soap. There’ll be tons of exciting developments to look forward to in the months ahead, so let’s talk about what’s in store.
For starters, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will make a big comeback. Steve Burton will reprise the role of Jason in the 16,000th episode that’ll air on July 13.
Jason’s time locked away will affect him deeply and have a big impact on where his life goes from here. Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) will also be a changed woman due to the mental turmoil she’s endured, so look for her to come home with some fatal motives.
As for Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), he won’t get stuck at Steinmauer like he anticipated, but that doesn’t mean his life will be easy moving forward.
Once Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) finds out about Valentin and Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) romantic involvement, he’ll recruit Brick (Stephen A. Smith) to help him shut it down.
After Cassius Faison’s “Nathan West” (Ryan Paevey) charade falls apart, he’ll take a gamble to bid farewell to someone instead of just bolting immediately.
Will it be James West (Gary James Fuller) who gets this final goodbye?
There’ll also be a big faceoff on Spoon Island involving Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), who just might be the one to end Ross Cullum’s (Andrew Hawkes) villainous reign on the show.
WSB leader “Z” will take an interest in Josslyn, but Carly won’t let that stop her from trying to get her daughter out of this dangerous organization.
Carly won’t give up on getting revenge on Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) either!
Speaking of Brennan, he’ll work to help Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) as they grow closer.
It sounds like a Nina and Brennan romance could be in the works, but Brennan may pay a steep price when it comes to his source for Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) leverage.
Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) will find out that Carly and Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) hid Valentin right under her nose for months, so that’ll lead to some tension.
The revelation that “Nathan” is actually Cassius will throw Lulu for a painful loop, too.
Back with Sonny, he’ll be gearing up for a final showdown with Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota), but ADA Justine Turner’s (Nazneen Contractor) life could be in jeopardy by the end of all this.
Meanwhile, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) will face a dilemma since a plea deal would mean accepting a short-term prison stint.
Will Curtis take it or go to trial and risk a much longer Pentonville sentence instead?
Look for Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) to get into a heated confrontation with someone and ultimately go into labor.
Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) will get a warm welcome back to Port Charles in the midst of the drama.
Thanks to Joe Fitzpatrick (Jonathan Bennett) and Lucas Jones’ (Van Hansis) team effort, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) will get some news that changes her life for the better.
Britt may find out she doesn’t have Huntington’s disease after all, but the fallout of all the Cullum and Sidwell chaos will still bring some low moments.
Over with Laura Collins (Genie Francis), she’ll decide to visit Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) and Ace Cassadine (Karis and Kieran Barry) in Ireland, but the trip will result in marriage issues and problems for Port Charles in general.
There are also some hints that suggest Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) may have a stalker storyline on the horizon – perhaps as the result of her successful showcase and budding music career.
Over with Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza), his assistance on Trina’s showcase will result in a musical opportunity of his own.
Next, Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) will take turns saving each other from danger as their connection grows.
It turns out someone from Ethan’s history will make a mess of things and send him on the run, but Ava will come through when it counts.
It also appears Ethan will confess his Phoebe (Luna and Lucia Creighton) baby daddy lie to Ava and lead her down an intriguing path.
While Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) and Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) feud over Deception control, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) will create problems through her plan to frame Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) for being the other driver the night of Jordan Ashford’s (Tanisha Harper) crash.
That’ll force Brook Lynn to be honest with Chase, so their marriage will be put to the ultimate test.
On the bright side, GH spoilers say Chase will realize he needs to set some clear boundaries with Willow.
As for Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), there are clues to suggest he might have some sort of pool mishap that ends with Gio saving him from a grim fate.
However, Drew will eventually get back to his old self and could create a nightmare for Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), who seems poised to finally tell Willow how she really feels about her guilty client!
Plus, General Hospital spoilers say fans will see plenty of new character debuts along with the return of Serena Baldwin (Kelly Kruger) in recast form, so stay tuned for all the summer action.
