General Hospital (GH) spoiler updates for Thursday, July 16, suggest that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bendard) will unleash a sinister plan, while Liels Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) will demand answers from someone.
Plus, things turn awkward when Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) ruins a tender moment.
First off, General Hospital spoilers for Thursday hint that Sonny will ask for a meeting with Brick (Stephen S. Smith), so he’ll be back on canvas during the July 16 episode.
Still, unlike the usual mob business orders he has for his right-hand man, this next assignment for Brick will be a lot more personal.
In the preview, Sonny is shown telling Brick, “We just need to figure out a way to get Valentin out of Carly’s life.”
It looks like Sonny is crafting a scheme to break up Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), but as fans know, these types of plans never go well.
Meanwhile, Sonny’s grandson, Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza), and Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) will talk about the future.
Does this have anything to do with the incredible performance that both he and partner Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) had during their showcase?
While Trina dazzled, Gio also caught the attention of music producer Simon (Grady Eldridge), so there’s that.
Then there’s Liesl, who will seemingly visit Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) during General Hospital’s July 16 episode.
Liesl will be looking for answers, as her son, Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey), was painted as the villain in this cold fusion story, when she knows better.
Added teasers indicate that Liesl will lash out at someone, and she may question Joss on why she’s going along with this lie.
Will Joss tell her the truth about the WSB deal she made to get Valentin and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) released?
Then again, Liesl may also think of heading to the WSB herself and setting them straight, which may not be a good idea.
In the preview for Thursday’s show, Joss is shown warning someone by saying, “You don’t want that – trust me.”
Over on the other end of the hospital, in a boiler room somewhere, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) will grill Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud).
Anna is on a mission of her own to gather intel about Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove) final project and Cassius, so it sounds like the superspy will interrogate Britt to get down to the bottom of things.
In the General Hospital promo, Britt is shown telling Anna, “We have a lot more in common than we think.” Will these two become friends?
In some feel-good spoilers, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) will be on good terms as they do some family bonding.
Portia gave birth to a baby boy during the Wednesday, July 15 episode, with the help of Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper).
During Thursday’s show, she and the baby will be at the hospital, and Curtis will enter their room.
Portia will happily ask if he wants to meet his son, and Curtis will be more than excited to do so.
It looks like a sweet moment, but it won’t take long for Isaiah to ruin it.
The promo video shows Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) warning Isaiah to give Portia and Curtis some space and alone time with their son.
With that said, Isaiah won’t listen to Stella’s advice and proceeds to interrupt the parents.
Will Baby Ashford witness the first blowout between his parents and their partners?
Finally, Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) will be the bearer of bad news.
It sounds like he’ll be tasked with the job of explaining the whole “Cassius” situation to James West (Gary James Fuller).
James knows that the man he believed to be his father, “Nathan West” (Ryan Paevey), left town forever.
What James doesn’t realize is that “Nathan” was really his twin brother, Cassius – James’s uncle, not father.
General Hospital spoilers hint that Cody is great at dealing with James, and he’ll be there to support the boy in the aftermath, but it’ll still be heartbreaking for the man to tell the boy that he was deceived.
