General Hospital (GH) recap for Wednesday, April 22, reveals forensics delivered a report about the paint found on the guardrail near the crash site.
That led to Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) settling on Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) as a driver suspect, so here’s how Wednesday’s episode went down.
At GH, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) acknowledged that she didn’t like Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper), but she insisted her sympathy was legit since Jordan had been through a traumatic ordeal.
Portia pushed Jordan to lean on Curtis as she healed and hoped they could all get past any conflict for the baby’s sake.
After Curtis finished warning Isaiah away from Jordan, he found Jordan and gave her another pep talk.
Isaiah also met up with Portia and told her about his run-in with Curtis, which left him doubtful about keeping the peace.
In the chapel, Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) recapped how he followed Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) to Pier 55 because he was concerned about her.
Rocco acknowledged that he was there when Britt got knocked unconscious and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) fought with Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes).
Once Cullum dropped his gun, he was about to beat Jason with his baton when Rocco intervened.
Rocco insisted he knew Cullum would kill Jason and then Britt, so he picked up the gun and shot Cullum with it.
Rocco confirmed that’s how he hurt his hand and assured Britt that Cullum never saw him.
Britt got emotional as she realized Jason was protecting Rocco and warned the teen that he had to keep his mouth shut.
If Cullum found out Rocco was his shooter, then Britt declared they would both be dead.
Rocco seemed alarmed over Cullum posing a fatal threat, so Britt was sorry for scaring him.
There was also some talk about who else knew the truth, so Rocco admitted “Nathan West” aka Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) covered for him and that Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) knew, too.
Rocco also feared Britt was still in danger, but she felt she could handle this as long as she did what Cullum wanted.
Once Britt hugged Rocco and sent him on his way, she called for the Wyndemere launch and insisted she had work to do.
At Bad Jen Café, Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) surprised Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) with a New York City trip tomorrow since his friend, Michael James Scott, played Genie in Aladdin and invited them to the show as well as backstage.
However, Gio warned Emma couldn’t post on social media since he wasn’t ready to see his family from Bensonhurst again and didn’t want them finding out that he’d been in NYC.
While Emma and Gio made plans to explore the city, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) was deep in thought at Bobbie’s.
After Josslyn recalled “Nathan” coming out of Cullum’s hospital room, she spoke with Lulu about her workout with “Nathan” and how she awkwardly asked about Cesar Faison (Anders Hove).
Lulu’s real issue was with Britt since she was trouble and Rocco was so drawn to her.
At the PCPD, “Nathan” spoke to Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) about a guardrail with paint scraped on it near the accident site.
It was a possible lead on the other driver since it was consistent with the crash details.
While Dante and “Nathan” waited for forensics to get back to them on the sample, they discussed Marco Rios’ (Adrian Anchondo) missing phone and Dante’s belief that he knew his killer.
The conversation turned to “Nathan” dating Lulu since he worried Dante wasn’t truly OK with it, but Dante insisted he was fine and pushed “Nathan” to let it go.
Forensics called with a report on the guardrail paint, so Dante phoned Curtis with news.
Dante said they may have a possible lead on the vehicle that fled the scene of the accident.
After Dante mentioned the paint sample from the guardrail on the opposite side of the road, he said it matched a black, German-made car.
“Isaiah Gannon drives a black SUV,” Curtis muttered to himself after he disconnected from Dante.
General Hospital spoilers say Curtis’ suspicions about Isaiah could lead to more danger than he anticipates, so stay tuned!
