General Hospital (GH) update for Wednesday, July 8, indicates that Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) will make a comeback for a couple of important reasons while Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) awakens with questions.
First on Wednesday’s GH episode, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) will bump into Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), so her plan to avoid her mom will get derailed.
There’ll be some uncomfortable small talk as Trina asks about the baby and perhaps gets quizzed about her upcoming musical showcase.
Over with Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson), he’ll turn to Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) for legal help.
Isaiah will want Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) to pay the damage to his hand, so he’ll speak with Ric about a civil suit on top of the criminal charges Curtis is already facing.
Speaking of those criminal charges, Curtis could reduce them if he agrees to a plea deal that’s about to be offered to him.
Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) will grill Curtis about this news and what exactly the plea deal would mean, so Curtis will explain that he’d have to do a short prison sentence if he agreed.
Curtis won’t like the sound of that, especially since Portia’s baby is almost here.
Jordan, on the other hand, may worry that if Curtis rolls the dice and goes on trial, he could face a much longer stint in the slammer.
Once Martin returns from his business in Reno, he’ll join Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and help her out with two mysterious missions.
Laura will mention a couple of tasks that she could assistance on, so Martin will pitch in if he can.
Of course, Martin may also be around to serve as Curtis’ attorney since Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) turned him down.
As for Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos), she’ll be forced to choose between her book tour and handling a major case that could send her career skyrocketing.
Curtis’ case isn’t a huge deal, so maybe this will be about Sidwell’s high-profile criminal trial instead.
ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) was Sidwell’s abduction victim, so she may be forced to hand off the case to someone else – and that someone may be Molly if she’s willing to skip promoting her new novel.
Over with Lucas, he’ll wake up startled and will ask plenty of questions.
It looks like Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) perhaps found Lucas drunk somewhere and took care of him, so he’ll realize that soon enough.
Lucas is dealing with a lot since he found out Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) medication was merely saline, which is a tough blow since Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) was killed for stealing it.
Lucas is also feeling angry and hurt over all Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) manipulative tactics.
Although Lucas may not get into all the details when he opens up to Liz, he’ll indeed do some ranting and get a pep talk.
Across town, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) will refuse to let Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) sway her opinion when it comes to her romance with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and perhaps her plans for Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) payback, too.
