General Hospital (GH) recap for Wednesday, June 10, indicates that Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) fled after getting arrested.
Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) also offered up the Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) leverage that Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) had been waiting for, so here’s how Wednesday’s episode played out.
As the baby shower conflict escalated, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) slipped out without saying goodbye and vented to Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza), Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) and Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) outside the Quartermaine boathouse.
That gave Trina a chance to decide she was done focusing on her parents’ drama and that she was going to devote her time to preparing for her upcoming showcase.
Back at the Metro Court Gardens, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) clashed with Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) before things got heated between Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) and Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) as well.
Portia eventually made it clear that she’d have her doctors contact Curtis with further baby info since she wanted nothing to do with him.
After Portia and Isaiah stomped off, Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) blew up at Curtis for making things worse and reminded him that he could go on trial for assault.
Jordan had Curtis’ back anyway as they braced for more drama to come.
At the tennis center construction site, Sidwell was suddenly surrounded by cops after firing at Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) three times.
Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), Joe Fitzpatrick (Jonathan Bennett) and their backup officers let Sidwell know the jig was up.
Sidwell was arrested for Lucas’ attempted murder as Laura Collins (Genie Francis) rushed over to make sure Lucas was OK.
Lucas was revealed to be wearing a bulletproof vest, so he was indeed all right despite being sore.
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) came out of hiding too, so Sidwell pushed for the mob boss and Laura to go down for Professor Henry “Hank” Dalton’s (Daniel Goddard) grim fate.
Dante wondered if Sidwell had evidence that Laura and Sonny had committed a crime, but Sidwell admitted he lost the proof thanks to Lucas.
“Nathan West” aka Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) showed up, so Dante pushed him to take Sidwell to the police station.
Instead, Cassius pulled off the road somewhere with Sidwell and urged him to disappear since “Nathan” couldn’t protect him from an attempted murder charge.
Sidwell hinted about his contingency plans and had Cassius hand over his gun so he could whack “Nathan” for a believable story.
“Nathan” had a gash on his head as he called Dante with news that Sidwell had escaped.
Joe took Lucas to GH so he could get checked out, which led to questions about Sidwell’s takedown.
Lucas made it clear that it was worth it and that he did this for Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo).
At Turning Woods, Willow frantically tried to give Brennan another injection, but he made it clear that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) agreed with him about not getting any more.
Nina arrived with a burger for Brennan and found Willow in his room, so she joined the confrontation and pushed Willow to see things their way.
Brennan insisted he had the Drew leverage that Willow was after.
It turns out Drew misappropriated federal funds when he used esplanade money for his campaign.
Brennan was willing to supply the dirt once he was fully recovered if Willow and Nina cooperated.
Jack wanted to keep letting Sidwell and Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) believe he was totally locked in for now.
Nina and Willow realized they only had to give Drew another dose or two of the paralytic in the meantime, so they thought that was doable.
At Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) place, she insisted on going to search Wyndemere since Sidwell and Cullum could be holding Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) hostage.
Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) thought he should go instead, but Carly insisted she should be the one since Valentin was a fugitive and Sidwell had already opened up his home to her.
General Hospital spoilers say Carly will put herself in harm’s way for Josslyn’s sake, so stay tuned.
