General Hospital Week of July 13 Update: Potential Love Triangle, Drew Alarm Bells and James’ Dad Heartbreak

General Hospital (GH) spoilers for the week of July 13-17 indicate that there’ll be some possible romantic shakeups while Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) causes concerns and James West (Gary James Fuller) deals with a tough blow.

The week will get off to a fantastic start with the show’s 16,000th episode, which will deliver Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) comeback as well as the first appearance of an Australian surgeon named Dr. Tristan Roberts (Dean Geyer).

It also looks like Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) will rile Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) up by snatching up a GH board seat, so look for Tracy to clash with Laura Collins (Genie Francis) over her recommendation.

As for Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard), it seems he’ll try to understand Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) perspective – even if he doesn’t agree with her framing Willow.

Chase will ultimately realize he’s been pushing the boundaries of what’s acceptable in his marriage, so he’ll pull back when it comes to Willow and all the time he’s been spending with her.

Over with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), some tension will explode when she first meets Tristan.

Are the writers gearing up for a Tristan and Britt romance?

Could this turn into a love triangle with Jason instead?

Jason may be more focused on his family in the end since his imprisonment really messed with his head and led to some soul-searching.

There’s a good chance Jason will ultimately announce to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) that he officially wants out of the mob.

Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) will have an opportunity to reunite with his dad soon, so he’ll be relieved over Jason’s freedom.

Unfortunately, Danny’s decision to blab about Rocco Falconeri’s (Finn Carr) shooter guilt could still lead to trouble.

In the meantime, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) will surprise Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) when she shows up on the doc’s doorstep.

That could lead to some clashing and send Portia into labor.

Whether Jordan helps bring Portia’s baby into the world or just gets her to GH in a hurry, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) should be incredibly grateful.

Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) will eventually be there for Portia, but she’ll apparently head to her music showcase with Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) first.

It turns out that showcase will lead to some job offers for both Gio and Trina, so they’ll have something to celebrate.

While Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) scheme to get the leverage Willow needs, Drew will show signs that he’s getting his mobility back and leave Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) troubled.

Over with Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), she’ll have an angry meltdown.

Britt will also find herself under fire as Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) grills her about the work she did for Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) and Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota).

After Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) presumably tells James about Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) posing as Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) and ending up “dead,” James’ reaction will break his heart.

Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) will step up to give Cody some support in the aftermath.

As for Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), he’ll offer clarity on his deep feelings for Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).

Carly will try to trust in Valentin’s devotion and push Sonny to stand down, but Sonny will stir up more trouble anyway.

General Hospital spoilers say Carly and Valentin will face some other romantic setbacks, so stay tuned for any terrible news to come.
