General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Cassius Faison aka fake Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) may not be as dead as the show wants fans to believe.
There are good reasons to think Cassius might’ve survived, so let’s talk about why Z (John Oliver) might be hiding the truth.
After that final bloody showdown on Spoon Island, SOD was quick to confirm Ross Cullum’s (Andrew Hawkes) demise and offer up an exit interview.
However, a GH rep couldn’t be reached for comment when they sought confirmation on whether Ryan Paevey had truly wrapped his run.
Maybe the show is intentionally dodging questions because things aren’t quite as they seem when it comes to Cassius’ grim fate.
Z checked to see if Cassius had a pulse and then put his attention on Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), but what happened after that?
While Josslyn was rushed to GH, Cassius might’ve been loaded on Z’s helicopter and whisked somewhere else.
Perhaps Cassius was secretly saved and might even be shown recovering at an undisclosed location at some point.
Cassius might still be a useful asset who’s worth hanging onto, but Z needs Cassius to be “dead” for the story that Josslyn is willing to sell.
Josslyn is going to drag Cassius’ name through the mud and act like he was Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) partner on the cold fusion project.
Cullum ultimately planned to make Cassius his fall guy, so now Z’s going with that plan too since it’s a better look for the WSB.
It just proves that Z is willing to lie about anything and everything if it’s what’s best for the bureau.
That could easily mean that he’s lying about Cassius being dead as well.
After all, it seems downright silly to kill off yet another one of Ryan Paevey’s characters and make it more difficult for him to come back.
This may actually be GH writers’ way of leaving things a little uncertain since no one can know for sure whether Z is being honest about Cassius’ demise.
Paevey also reposted justiceponderinc’s Instagram story, which showed Z checking Cassius’ pulse and suggested “Only time will tell…” if the character is dead.
That certainly seems like a hint that Cassius is alive and might make a dramatic return somewhere down the line.
