General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that one Port Charles resident won’t be calling it her home anymore.
Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell) agreed to leave town following a brief exit arc, so Herschell’s departure just became official.
SOD confirmed that Paige Herschell is OUT as Jacinda Bracken in a move that was said to be “storyline-dictated.”
Jacinda seems to have served her purpose as a character, so she was written into a corner that could only end in heartbreak.
Herschell made her GH debut as Jacinda on April 23, 2025.
The role was supposed to be a short-term gig at first since Jacinda was hired to drug Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) on Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr) orders.
The show later expanded the part and brought Jacinda back in September that same year.
From there, Jacinda became Michael Corinthos’ (Rory Gibson) alibi before their fake romance became a real relationship.
Jacinda fell hard for Michael, but she made a terrible mistake when she drugged Willow Cain’s (Katelyn MacMullen) coffee and put the kids at risk.
Michael ultimately knew Jacinda’s move would unleash chaos, so he broke things off and sent her out of town.
However, Michael gave Jacinda a hefty bank account so she could have a fresh start somewhere else.
Jacinda feels like her relationship with Michael was perhaps doomed from the start, but they shared something sweet for a time.
Although it broke Michael’s heart just as much to say goodbye to Jacinda, that’s exactly what they had to do in the August 11 episode.
Jacinda made a tearful exit, so her time in Port Charles has come to an end.
Of course, it’s possible Jacinda could make a surprise return somewhere down the line, but it’s clear that her current story is over at this point.
From now on, Michael’s airtime should focus on his wild feud with Willow and the Deception drama that’s cooking up now that Serena Baldwin (Kelly Kruger) is in the picture.
