Tonight on the Grey’s Anatomy episode, Simone is pregnant. She also doesn’t know who the baby father is. She slept with her boyfriend Bryant and her ex Lucas around the same time. She has no clue who fathered her child. She actually recently harvested some of her eggs so that she could have kids one day.
She just never thought it was going to happen on its own because she’s normally so careful. Well, its Grey Sloane Memorial Hospital. She wasn’t the only one with issues and that’s something she can count on at work. Lucas was trying to slide back to one of the first years. She wanted nothing to do with him. He completely used her last time as he got over his grief and she was done with feeling pitiful.
Lucas was just now realizing his dimples couldn’t fix everything. He was now up in the VIP section. Meredith was visiting from Boston. She wanted to follow up with Charlie Ramos’s care. He was the teenager in foster care. He had a hernia from because of a previous condition. Meredith offered to help him.
She ended up losing his trust somewhat when she was forced to treat one of the rich patients. The patients didn’t really care about the VIP floor. He cared about the doctors treating them on the VIP floor.
They thought they would award winning doctors. They didn’t necessarily want Dr. Norton. Norton was running things up there and his name wasn’t on the hospital. Not like the great Meredith Grey.
She was asked to remove stones once. She hated it. She wanted to focus on the true patients over the ones that walked in on their own. The ones whose surgeries were mostly elective. Richard tried to get around Meredith’s objections by offering to send a few patients upstairs for pro bono. This included Charlie.
Meredith was seriously considering visiting more if she helps people like that kid. He was so traumatized. He didn’t want Dr. Spencer taking blood because something clearly happened to him. Also, that doctor didn’t ask him. She was just going to do it without discussing it first. She was the intern on the VIP floor.
She was rushing about doing everything and she forgot about patient care in the process. Lucas should’ve stopped her. He had been in the room and he probably would’ve if Charlie’s reaction hadn’t taken the both of them by surprise.
Bailey also stopped by the hospital on her day off. She was speaking to Kwon right before class. She was attending college to get her Masters and the two were meeting for lunch to discuss his next steps. He was fired from the hospital. He couldn’t get a job at another hospital. He didn’t want to wait for a match. He was considering going into Family Medicine. They were talking about it when they witnessed a kid go sliding down the stairs. It was pledge week at the university. The doctors went into help mode. They got him back to Grey Sloane.
It turns out he got one of his bones from his leg up his butt. That’s what happens when you get drunk and cover yourself in clear wrap and baby oil just so they could slide down a hill fast. Bailey stayed to perform surgery. She asked Kwon to wait for her outside. He ran into Simone and they got to talking about her pregnancy. The one no one else knew about until they overheard their conversation. Bryant now knows Simone is pregnant. She told him it happened back when they weren’t exclusive.
She simply didn’t tell him that the other guy was Lucas. Bryant doesn’t have a high opinion of him. He was soon freaking out about being a father and he couldn’t ask Simone not to be a mother. She has a condition that would’ve made getting pregnant naturally nearly impossible. She called the baby a miracle. Bryant was happy to go back to work. Jules had convinced Winston to pull off a new surgery and they tried to make it work. All it did was make things worse. The patient was left worse off and Winston was so busy treating Jules like everyone else that she came to hate him being her boss.
Winston was the new residency director. He was trying to do a good job. He risked that when he became partial to Jules and Ben had to call him out on it. He didn’t want to watch a friend risk it all for nothing. Which might become the case because the couple can’t look each other in the eye. Amelia and her girlfriend were supposed to pick up Amelia’s son for a day out. They spent most of the day with Jo. Jo quit being a doctor. She tried to become a full-time mom. She was learning it was a lot harder than she thought. But at least Scout came to like Toni.
Jo also hadn’t noticed that Link wasn’t fully recovered from his accident. He was looking at her paid meds. He was constantly worried about operating. He was losing it and Jo just wasn’t seeing it. There was also Spencer. She made a mistake in the OR that luckily didn’t kill her patient. Meredith asked her to step out. Richard reminded her to focus on what’s in front of her. No matter what the VIP patients demand. Bailey later got her help. Kwon was hired in Norton’s department and he gets to be a surgeon again. All Bailey had to do was speak to Norton who wasn’t as bad as they all thought.
Simone doesn’t want to have a baby right now. She was leaning away from that idea. Bryant was there to support her. Lucas had no clue what was happening when he soon approached Spencer. He apologized for how he treated her earlier. He also offered to take her out on a date when she was sober. He spotted her at the bar when he made his big speech.
And Charlie woke up on the VIP floor with Meredith at his side – that and a game to play were all he asked for.
THE END!
