General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that a mysterious stranger named Jude (Wil Traval) will arrive on-screen starting in October.
The show’s keeping the details under wraps, so that’s led to some speculation on social media that “Jude” might actually be a Jerry Jacks (last played by Sebastian Roché) recast.
Although Wil Traval is quite a bit younger than Sebastian Roché, that’s not a dealbreaker.
It certainly wouldn’t be the first time a soap chose to cast someone more youthful to tackle a familiar role.
Besides, if Jerry is returning in the form of mysterious Jude, it’s reasonable to assume he might’ve had plastic surgery to change his appearance.
If there was ever a time for someone to look younger, it’s after plastic surgery!
Of course, there’s a good chance that “Jude” is the mystery man who’s been giving Hudson Parker (Troy Lennon Appel) secret orders.
Jerry could easily be the one behind those phone calls to Hudson.
It makes sense that Jasper “Jax” Jacks’ (last played by Ingo Rademacher) twisted brother would be tangled up in all the JJE drama.
“Jude” may also be Phoebe Chase’s (Luna and Lucia Creighton) biological father, which could make sense for Jerry, too.
It might explain why Ethan Lovett (last played by Christian Howard) considered the bio dad such a fierce threat.
It would also offer an explanation for why Ethan went digging into a PCPD cold case box for the biological father’s DNA.
That made it seem like the bio dad was someone who’d been on canvas before once upon a time.
Maybe Ethan figured out Jude’s secret and has been working to keep Jerry out of Phoebe’s life.
This might all be a setup for Jerry to make a huge GH comeback, but he may pretend to be Jude for a while before his real identity is revealed.
Perhaps Ethan could make a return appearance to help expose the truth! Whatever the case, it’ll be interesting to see what secrets Jude’s keeping and whether he might actually be a Jerry Jacks recast.
