In tonight’s NCIS: Sydney episode, the death of a teenage girl took precedent tonight. Her name was Tegan Macpherson. She was an American. Her father worked for the Navy and her family was stationed in Sydney. She has snuck out that night. Her parents said she fell in a bad crowd.

One that encouraged her to sneak out and stay out for hours on end before she snuck back in at dawn. They noticed she was missing. They called her. they tried to lay down the law with her. It was unfortunately too late because Tegan had already been murdered by then.

Tegan appears to have been killed by blades. She was slashed multiple times. They were looking for a person when they should’ve been looking for a drone. Tegan was a part of the Fortress Crew. They were so popular that even Bluebird thought they were too cool for herself.

They were a bunch of gamers operating drones at this place they labeled “the Fortress”. Tegan was there earlier in the night. She was competing in the drone race and had even won her round. The winners tend to get offered sponsorships deals worth thousands if not millions.

Tegan winning much less being on a streak has a cost benefit. The blades from the drone was found deep inside her cuts. Its how they figured out she was killed by it so their chief suspect was the loser of that race. They didn’t know her real name. Nor did anyone else.

They had to take Blue to the Fortress to find her. Blue spoke nerd to her kind and they found their suspect still gaming in the private suite. Her real name is Avery Walker. She knew she looked upset in the video when they asked about it and she did her best to clarify.

Avery said that drones are the future. Only they still count on flying skills. She was the better pilot and not Tegan. Tegan cheated in the race. Her drone was super specialized.

Avery suggested that she got it from her Navy dad. Ethan Macpherson recognized the drone from the footage they had. It was called Darwin 2. It was created by Black Bolt Industries. It was being sold to the American government for billions. He didn’t know it was missing and the BBI didn’t want the Americans to know they lost a super secret drone worth that much money.

They left out that the drone had a flaw. It’s how it was able to be hacked. He wasn’t hacked some big wig either like China or Russia. It was hacked by a teenage Australian kid. The kid was a relation of Marvo.

Marvo takes care of him. PJ Armando borrowed his uncle’s car to hack the drone and he was going to gift it to Tegan, but first he wanted to fix the flaw. He said Tegan was losing racing matches. She heard about her dad buying a drone for the US Government. She wished to get her hands on something like that and PJ being in love with her had made him want to provide.

PJ was on the spectrum. He didn’t see what he was doing as illegal. He just thought he was helping out Tegan. He hacked into the drone and he tried to fix the patch before he gifted it to her.

There was one issue. The drone kept unfixing itself. It was smart. Too smart for its own good. It views anyone as trying to change or fix it as a threat and that’s what it did with PJ. He labelled him a threat worthy of a kill order. It never planned on killing Tegan. Tegan stole the drone from PJ once she knew he had it. And she didn’t bother hearing him out on why it was dangerous.

Tegan used it to finally win. PJ tried to get it back when the drone attacked him. Tegan was protecting him when it killed her. All of this came out when PJ was interviewed by NCIS. PJ said it was trying to kill him so they wanted to know why. It turns out the fatal flaw was the fact that it refused to be altered. It will unfix itself and get help. Something they learned when Blue tried to turn it on without a brain inside. The thing came to find a new way to power itself and he went back to look for PJ.

They tried sending more drones after that thing. Darwin 2 was able to hack them and get them to work for it. Evie and DeShawn tried to keep PJ and Marvo safe. It wasn’t working when Trigger came up with a plan. He outfitted a less sophisticated drone with a pipe bomb. Mackey flew it to collide with Darwin 2.

It finally killed the drone from hell. Everyone was safe. The company on the other hand lost their contract once the thing proved too dangerous. PJ also got to tell Tegan’s parents about how brave she was. She protected him from bullies at school and was his best friend.

She died trying to protect him and was a hero.

Blue also became a hero when she used the computers at the Fortress to hack Darwin 2 long enough to slow it down. She was now Queen of the Nerds over there. But the smart fridge she hooked up was unplugged because frankly Mackey didn’t want to be around something too smart.

THE END!
