On tonight’s Sheriff Country episode, Mickey watched football with Boone. Neither of them were in a relationship. Nora left Boone because she couldn’t be a cop’s wife anymore.
Mickey also issued an ultimatum to Travis because he had to decide if being Barlow’s lawyer was better than a second chance with her.
Hence they both ended up single at the same time. They used that to watch football together when they could be doing something else and they were enjoying the game when they got an emergency call. There was reportedly a break-in at a house.
The two later showed up to find Charles Carson beaten unconscious. His wife was missing. Their son barricaded himself in the room upstairs. The only one authorities could talk to was Paul the son.
Paul was upstairs when things kicked off. He was studying for a Chem test. He heard his mom’s screams. He came out of his room to see his father bleeding and his father begged him to lock himself in his room before calling 911. Paul did so. He never saw who was attacking his dad. He assumed it was home invaders.
The same way he assumed his mother must have been kidnapped if she went missing that night. Paul was sadly wrong on both accounts. It took a minute before Mickey could talk to Paul. Before she and Boone visited the hospital, they investigated a possible ransom theory.
They were considering everything and there was no need. Paul later said that it wasn’t home invaders that attacked him. It had been his wife. Carrie became a completely different person. She attacked him and she even threw the fireplace grate at him. It weighs almost as much as she does.
Charles had no idea where she got the strength. Boone asked about possible drugs. Charles said that his wife drinks a glass of wine and smokes a little weed. She didn’t take any serious drugs.
Mickey wasn’t sure if she believed that or not. She said marriages were often full of secrets. There’s a chance that Carrie was doing hard drugs that Charles has no idea about. She took off in one of the cars. The one she did it had a gun in the glove compartment so she was erratic, possibly on drugs, and armed.
They put out a BOLO for her. They found her driving her car into the plastic cow at the Meet Up. They were able to bring her in without getting harmed and they couldn’t say that of the next guy that freaked out. There was a mailman who completely lost it on the cook at the Meet Up. He fought everyone who got in his way.
This included Mickey and Boone. They fought him. They tased him. Nothing was working and Mickey was about to pull her gun when suddenly they got help. The other diners as well as Boone tackled him. They used their combined body strength to take down one of him.
It couldn’t be a coincidence that both people freaked out at the same time. Mickey checked Joe’s things because he was eating at the restaurant before he lost it. She soon found a synthetic joint. The synthetic stuff gets mixed up for the real stuff but is far more dangerous.
It’s full of chemicals shipped from elsewhere. It goes without saying that it didn’t have the FDA’s approval. Carrie later came to. She said she usually gets weed from the dispensary and this last time she couldn’t go so she smoked the joint she found in her son’s pockets.
They asked Paul about it. He said it was being handed out at a party he went to. There was no other incidents among the teens. There were other incidents among adults. Joe came to himself. He said he got the weed from a website called “The Apothecary”. There was a bunch of people in town who bought from there.
They were all going through psychosis. The police station was full. Mickey was regretting letting Gina go to her dentist appointment. She didn’t know that Gina lied. Gina has breast cancer. She started chemotherapy and Mickey’s father Wes drove her to the appointment.
Gina didn’t want anyone else to know. She was in her sixties. She wasn’t married. She didn’t have kids. Her best friend recently died. She didn’t have anyone else and she didn’t want people treating her differently.
She chose Wes because she thought he wouldn’t care. Only Wes has done a lot of work on himself. He’s trying to be a better man. He couldn’t just sit in his car while Gina was in the hospital’s office by herself. He went in and he sat with her. He also didn’t mind that she threw up in his favorite cowboy hat.
Boone once asked Mickey why she didn’t trust anyone? She said in her own way that it was experience that taught her much. She had been right about Paul. He lied about where he got the drugs. He didn’t get it at the party. He’s been selling it. He met an old grower and he’s been helping him with his lawn. He borrowed his name.
He began selling drugs on the website as a means of finally making friends. And people wanted to get high faster so he messed with the formula, he sent people crazy and now he has to hand over his client list so they could get the bad batch back.
Mickey later attended a friend’s birthday party. She didn’t want to go alone because they were couple friends. Boone went with her and he might have gotten her to accept Gina’s offer of joining “Blue Love”.
It’s a dating website for cops. Gina also came clean with Mickey. Mickey found her eating all of her ice cream after getting high. She was taking Gina to task and that’s when Gina finally told the truth. She has breast cancer. She also found a great way to deal with the nausea that they she got Wes at her side.
Cass also started digging into her missing sister. She found out that a bunch of girls disappeared from the Blood Moon Festival. The next one was in two weeks and she was afraid a serial killer was on the loose.
THE END!
