In tonight’s Survivor episode, there were two tribes this season. Not the usual three. They both had their strengths and conflicts, but it was the Toka Tribe at a disadvantage. They were the first to face tribal and have recently had to say goodbye to one of their own. Aaliyah hadn’t been the initial target.

She was the one that they felt let them down the most. She had been a weak link at an Immunity Challenge and what she said afterwards hadn’t helped. She tried to sink Brady who turned out to be pretty petty about these things. She thought herself too insulated to face consequences. Time proved her wrong with that one.

With Aaliyah gone, does the Irish castaway get to return? The answer is yes. Lewis returned to the group tonight. He took over from Aaliyah. The poor man tore open his hands to win a challenge and it was all for nothing because he still failed to complete it in time. Lewis told his new tribe all about it.

There was one guy who just didn’t believe him. Kilby said the story sounded fake. He thought Lewis walked away with an advantage and that he’s hiding it from a group. The others have gotten to spend time together. And so Lewis had to work on getting to know everyone.

There was the first injury of the season. Brady was chopping up wood when he chopped off a bit of his thumb. He tried to sass his way through it. He didn’t scream or cry. Not at first anyways. He merely asked if this was the end of the game for him because he didn’t want it to be. He wanted to keep playing.

Someone got a shell to put his thumb/nailbed in and there was Brady said he could still do some push-ups. The others were doing their best to convince him to take it easy until the doctor showed.

Brady doesn’t have to be everyone’s buddy to stay on. He was the biggest dude on their tribe so its not like most of them wanted him to go. They simply believed they might be cursed is all.

They were the first to tribal, first to lose someone, starting over with Lewis who they felt may or may not be lying about an advantage, and now they their strongest competitor was injured. Brady had to get checked out by a doctor. He only cried then. It had been about not being ready to go home just yet and the doctor surprised him.

It was a shock for everyone. The lost part of his finger. Only the doctor was giving him the go-ahead. He said he’d bandage it and give him antibiotics. Brady pushed through the pain he clearly was feeling and then his tribe did the impossible. They stopped the curse. The two tribes played in a Rewards challenge. They had to operate with one seeing person and one person blindfolded. It led to a lot of issues because the seeing person often wasn’t as considerate per say of the person that was blindfolded.

Rob from Savu practically dragged along his partner. He used his strength to drag her about. When his tribe lost to Toka, he was upset. He was so upset that his underlying jerkiness came out. He had already been a jerk with Eric and so now he was being a jerk with even more people. He couldn’t believe they went from strength to loss.

He also blamed Eric for it. He said Eric shouldn’t have been blindfolded when his partner was a woman. He was a heavy dude. He felt it was impossible for his partner to drag him and that it slowed them down.

They also experienced an injury on their side. Kristin had been blindfolded and she injured herself in a fall. Kristin has been trying to get on the show for past twenty-six years so she refused to let the injury derail her.

Good thing she also happens to be a prepper. She did research on medicinal herbs. She found what she needed and she applied it to her ankle where she hopes it will help her heal. The Savu tribe was experiencing its first upset and they were soon talking about tribal. It was a toss-up on who the target was. Eric was an easy choice. Rob didn’t become a choice until his little spat. Ana was also a choice.

Ana ran her mouth. She was talking to Alexis about potentially forming an alliance. They were shooting out names. Ana then told others about it and Alexis overheard her. She knew Ana was talking about her, but when confronted, Ana came up with some dumb excuse about them talking about popcorn.

Why lie after you’ve been caught? Alexis figured she couldn’t trust the other woman after that so she told the other women that it was Ana who was throwing their names out there. They were so upset that now they wanted Ana out too.

The only thing keeping her safe was Eric himself. Most of the people on the beach found him to be annoying. They said if they had voted during his improv that they all would’ve voted him out. It would’ve been unanimous. The man grates on them. This was the attitude they were holding going into their next challenge. This time for Immunity. They had to drag what felt like a whale carcass over a board and onto the beach. The tribe in yellow was way ahead. Savu tried to catch up and Toka won before they could at least end with dignity.

Now, they face their first tribal. Ana was willing to throw her name out there as a way of Eric not seeing the end before it happens. She regretted it almost instantly and her plan would’ve worked if it hadn’t been for Carter.

Carter was talking to Ori about the crabs on the beach. He said they went in hiding so they must be “onto them” when Linnea overheard that last bit. She thought he was talking about her and Sharonda because Ana was throwing out their names. They quickly bonded with Alexis and even Eric as a means of ousting Ana.

Ana did what she did because she wanted to create chaos. She was becoming bored on the beach. She never knew it was going to come back to haunt her. Yet, Sharonda won’t make a move without Ori.

He’s her number one in that tribe. Ori thinks that getting Eric out will be such an easy decision that they shouldn’t rock the boat with anything else. He also saw Eric as a physical threat in challenges. He knew Eric might beat him or annoy him to death – it was enough for him to want to stick to his decision.

Rob did his best to convince everyone to make the easy choice until he talked about big moves. What was he up to? Rob found an idol and then he got whiny at council. He said he lend out his hand to Eric only Eric didn’t take it.

It didn’t make the slightest bit of sense. When did he put out his hand for Eric? It ultimately was Ana that was voted out tonight and she had been so shocked because she had never seen it coming. And her last request was to be called “Anahita” on her way out.

Ana left as Anahita.

THE END!
