In tonight’s The Amazing Race episode, the teams headed to Madrid, Spain. They had to book their own tickets with Silkway. They all love themselves a great travel agency. Anne-Marie and Riley were a mother/daughter team. They arrived at the agency around the same time as two other strong all-female teams so they decided to link up. They were all on the same flight. They could work together to knock out the other teams. It was a four team alliance comprised entirely of women. Anne-Marie and Riley had been leading the way. The mother raised her daughter right. She told her it was good to be pretty. It was better to be smart.

Things didn’t slow down in Madrid either. There was a race to book metro tickets. It got ugly. One woman fell and no one bothered to help her up. They merely jumped over her or moved around her.

This goes for her own sister as well. They traveled they received a question. The question was “Who’s Feeling Saucy”? It was a repeated challenge from a previous season called La Tomatina. La Tomatina was considered the biggest food fight in the world. There was a member of each team that has to dig through a pile of tomatoes as people were pummeling with throwing tomatoes.

Tomatoes weren’t as soft as everyone believed. It literally broke one guy’s safety goggles when he got hit in the face with one. The first person to find the clue was Erin. She was then followed by Ali.

There was a perfectly nice third woman who came along and had needed help to opening her clue. She asked both Erin and Ali. Ali pretended not to hear her after just forming a boss girl alliance. Erin heard the question and she told her how to open the clue. It was kindest like that that’s going to be remembered when it counts. Ali shouldn’t have let the chance pass her by.

Erin and Javi had been in the lead right up until they got on the wrong train. They were supposed to head to Puerta del Sol. There was a train called Puerta del Sur. It led to two completely different locations.

Meaning they could lose their lead. Now, the others began finding the clues in the pile of tomatoes. They all ran off the first chance they could except for Anuar. Anuar kept wanting reconfirmation of the next location. He was asking his competitors and his daughter was telling him that they were losing time when they’ve already got the clue.

Cody and his sister Jamie were considered the bickering pair. Only the two were working together to buy their mom a better home now that she was suffering from several conditions. Its why they’ve become so much nicer to each other since this. Cody was covered in gross tomato afterwards. He warned his sister not to touch him or else it’d get on her too. Jaime was actually moved by that because she was usually the one that disgusts him. He was raised in a house full of sisters. They usually love his pain and Jamie not compounding it when she had the chance meant they were getting along.

The Detour was a choice between A Slice of Ham or A Slice of History. There were teachers who chose history. They were the food lovers who chose ham. Back at La Tomatina, there were still a few stragglers. Daisha and Dalton used their Express Pass to skip it. Daisha was telling him that either had to use it at the start and not towards the end, but he was tired of looking for the clue so they used it. The two on the bottom were Katie and Charlotte. They were the last to the food fight. They then got on the wrong train. Just like Erin and Javi.

They got off at the wrong stop when funnily enough one of them had noticed the different sign. They boarded the train anyway because they thought the sign might be wrong. They didn’t map it out and so they were still riding trains as everyone else was fulfilling the challenges. The Slice of Ham meant they had to put together a charcuterie board. They had to make the cuts. They had to bring their boards towards a judge for approval. Once that’s done. they could get their next clue. Cody and Jamie used their Express Pass at the detour.

Anuar and his daughter Andrea were right behind Cody and Jamie. They overheard them and Andrea was questioning it with her statement of “like really”. It turned the siblings off of her. Each team should be focusing on their own game. That had been Andrea words earlier to her dad. Well, she needed a reminder for herself. People were running through their Express Pass.

Ali and Joanna were later the team that came in first. They knocked Erin and Javi out their usual place. Followed by Michelle & Matt(2), Cody & Jaime(3), Anne-Marie & Riley(4), Jody & Jenn (5) Daisha & Dalton(6), Erin & Javi (7), Anuar & Andrea (8), Conner & Garrett (9), Doug & Dylan (10), Dafina & Sara(11). Now coming in last was Charlotte and Kate. They were the last to leave the tomato field. They got lost to their next detour. They then spent too much there getting a slice of history right.

Tonight was the end of the road for the sisters Katie and Charlotte, but it was one of them that fell back at the metro station and so moving away from the crazy will help in the long run.

THE END!
