Is there a way for Steffy to unburden herself without ruining Carter’s marriage to Daphne Rose Walton (Murielle Hilaire)?
Carter told Steffy that they had to keep their drunken blunder under wraps, but Steffy doesn’t think she can do that.
This secret is already tearing Steffy apart, so she doesn’t see how she can live like this – especially when John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) keeps apologizing.
Steffy knows Finn deserves an apology of his own since she came home from Monaco completely plastered and had a hot encounter with Carter.
It was a mistake that both Carter and Steffy wish they could take back, but what’s done is done.
Steffy needs to confess to cheating or else she’ll be miserable, but what if she doesn’t share the whole story?
Perhaps Steffy could ease her conscience a bit by spilling the cheating part and just not tell Finn who it was with.
Of course, Finn would be curious and ask for a name, but Steffy might simply say she can’t give him one.
Steffy could choose her words carefully and make Finn believe she met some random guy at the airport or local bar once she landed.
B&B spoilers say Steffy and Carter’s secret will threaten to boil over in the August 28 episode.
There’ll come a point when action must be taken, so maybe Steffy will blurt out that she betrayed Finn and tell a Carter-free version of events.
If Finn thinks this was just some random one-night stand with a guy Steffy will never see again, he might be more willing to get past it.
Finn might ultimately accept that he set this drunken encounter in motion and forgive Steffy in the end.
However, trouble could arise once the whole truth leaks anyway.
Finn could find out the rest of the story eventually and fume when he realizes Steffy protected Carter instead of being fully honest.
