The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest there’s a good chance that Darin Brooks (Wyatt Spencer) hops over to the land of Genoa City to reprise his Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) role as Wyatt Spencer.
This wouldn’t be the first time a Bold and the Beautiful character mingled in the little town, so it’s time to talk about this interesting storyline development.
As some fans know, Wyatt Spencer entered the B&B in 2013 and exited the canvas in January 2024.
He had an on-again/off-again romance with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) during that time.
In fact, she ended up leaving Los Angeles because Wyatt broke her heart so badly in August 2020, and because she sank so low to keep him.
Sally entered Genoa City in November 2020, hoping for a fresh start, and she’s accomplished this on so many levels.
While things were dicey for Sally the first year or so of being in the little town, she’s certainly evolved tremendously from her L.A. days and is a shadow of her former self.
In fact, she’s the CEO of a new communications company and is living her ‘happily ever after’ with fiancé, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), as the two are expecting a child together, as well.
This seems like the perfect time for an ex-boyfriend to swoop into town and crash the party for both Billy and Sally, right?
With that said, during the Young and the Restless’ Wednesday, April 29 show, Sally and Billy were celebrating their pregnancy news “in bed” and talked about baby names.
Billy mentioned the name “Spencer” for a boy, and Sally nixed that thought immediately.
It almost felt like an homage to The Bold and the Beautiful, as Billy also threw out the name “Electra Spectra-Abbott”, a shout-out to B&B’s current Electra Forrester (Laneya Grace).
Still, as it seems, these “Easter eggs” in this scene could mean far more than simple references.
Billy would end up proposing in bed, after this baby’s names chat, and while Sally was touched, she hadn’t given him an answer just yet.
The next day, on the Y&R’s Thursday, April 30 episode, Sally excitedly told Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) about her engagement news.
Audra was overall skeptical of her happiness, and mentioned that she and Billy were just on the verge of a breakup, and now they are getting married?
Audra also asked her friend why she wasn’t wearing Billy’s engagement ring. This is when Sally brought up her fears of getting hurt, and her past love in Los Angeles … Wyatt Spencer!
Sally has been in Genoa City for years, and while her relationship with Wyatt has been mentioned in the past, it was only really talked about to portray her as a schemer.
The April 30 episode felt like the first time Sally talked about him and how the relationship changed her.
After Sally’s coffee talk with Audra, Billy swung by, and Sally said ‘yes’ to Billy as he slipped that ring on her finger.
There’s been a buzz for a while now that Sally could make a Bold and the Beautiful comeback, but with Wyatt’s name being tossed about on the Y&R canvas, could he enter Genoa City instead?
Just this past February, Darin Brooks had an interview with TV Insider, noting that he’s always open to a Bold and the Beautiful comeback.
Could he end up landing on the CBS soap’s sister show instead? As viewers know, name drops in storylines are never a coincidence.
The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal Wyatt’s arrival in GC would be timely, as Billy and Sally are so happy right now, so will he become the couple’s latest obstacle to overcome?
