The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that many fans are complaining about all the focus that Will Spencer (Crew Morrow) and Electra Forrester’s (Laneya Grace) romance has been getting.
This whole stolen letter saga seems downright silly, especially since B&B had to transform Ivy Forrester (Ashleigh Brewer) into an out-of-control matchmaker to make it happen.
We get that Ivy’s been looking out for her niece, but why should she care so much who Electra dates?
Ivy needs to be living her own life like everyone else, but she’s been stuck bringing angst in Electra and Will’s love story.
Unfortunately, that love story isn’t as epic as the show seems to want fans to believe.
If a letter theft could derail Will and Electra’s relationship this much, what does that really say about them as a couple?
Of course, Electra has taken a totally unlikable turn in this storyline as well.
Fans watched as Electra pushed for Melissa Dylan (Sydney Bullock) to stay on Will’s property and then demanded that he kick her back to homelessness after Ivy’s improper accusations started up.
Will has never looked good in all this either since he should’ve just let Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) pay for Dylan to live somewhere else to begin with.
Dylan recently agreed to move out, but Will could’ve fixed this a long time ago with a little help from “Dollar Bill.”
It might be different if Electra and Will had sizzling chemistry to carry this storyline, but they arguably don’t.
The result is a couple that doesn’t feel worth rooting for despite the show’s efforts to put these two front and center.
On social media, some fans have been speculating that B&B wants Will and Electra to be a new version of Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle).
Since Electra is sometimes naïve and a bit sanctimonious like Hope used to be, there are some similarities between the characters.
Will is a Spencer like his older brother and has been tempted by Dylan despite his love for Electra.
That’s reminiscent of Liam waffling in previous love triangles despite always coming back to Hope in the end.
Even so, Will and Electra just don’t have the same appeal as Hope and Liam.
Electra and Will’s romance feels like it’s flopping despite the show’s efforts to get viewers on board.
