The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that some Genoa City citizens could find themselves unemployed in the not-too-distant future. There’s the potential for some big job shakeups on the CBS soap in the months ahead, so let’s talk about what’s in store.
At least five Y&R characters could get fired depending on where their storylines go next.
Here are some GC residents who could end up getting the boot from their current positions.
1) Victoria
When Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) finds out Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) has been sneaking around with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), he’s going to be livid.
Victor will no doubt have serious concerns about the choices Victoria’s been making.
Since Kyle is Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) son and Claire Newman’s (Hayley Erin) former flame, Victor will inevitably rant about how he should be off-limits.
Victor could be angry enough to fire Victoria from Newman Enterprises and let Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) run the show on his own.
Victoria’s decision to get this close to the enemy could cost her if Victor decides to force her out of the family business!
2) Kyle
Likewise, Jack might force Kyle out of the co-CEO spot at Jabot for putting the company at risk.
Between whatever media scandal might erupt and the fact that Victor will ready to retaliate against Kyle, Jack may think his son is too much of a liability to stay on board.
3) Diane
As for Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters), her own position at Jabot may not be secure.
Diane is on the verge of making some underhanded moves against Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Vibrante, so Jack may have a problem with her targeting his friend behind his back.
It’s possible Jack will get fed up with Diane too and act like she’s just as bad as Kyle when it comes to provoking the Newmans.
It could result in Diane getting shoved out of the family company, at least temporarily.
4) Cane
Another Chancellor fight is coming up, so Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will do everything in his power to come out on top.
If Billy actually wins this time, Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) may be out of a job.
Of course, even if Cane is no longer running Chancellor, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) could certainly use extra help at Winters following Devon Winters (Bryton James) and Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) departures.
Cane may not stay unemployed long if Lily finds something else for him to do.
5) Dr. Andrew Bishop
Fareed Ward is playing Dr. Andrew Bishop, the current chief of surgery at Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Bishop is going to be a problem for Nate, who may fear his job is in jeopardy thanks to his rival’s attempts to undercut him.
However, Nate might turn the tables sooner or later and steal back the chief of surgery spot instead.
Dr. Bishop may be the one who’s fired once this storyline has a chance to fully play out.
